25. Mario Cristobal (Miami)

Recruiting is Cristobal’s super-skill. He’s a consistent force in assembling talent, which remains the surest path to success in this sport. He’s proven himself as a recruiter of both high school prospects and transfers. For his program to take the next step, Cristobal must develop his game-day coaching chops. Miami flubbed a playoff opportunity last season by losing winnable games.

Exactly. Isn’t he a career .500
Coach prior to last year?
I mean even despite that…. He has the record to be on the list when you consider what FIU really is and how hard it is to win there. Especially when he was there… People really don’t realize how bad that situation was (and still is but they’ve come a long way)

I toured there with my cousin when Don Strock was coach in 2005 or 2006 and their weight room was a classroom and had 4 medicine balls, a treadmill, a dumbbell set missing half of the dumbbells, and a Weider bench set with a lat pulldown machine/bench/squat rack/and leg extension machine built into 1 thing with the hard plastic wrapped concrete weights. It was pretty pitiful.

I just think he’s a pretty ****** HC. lol there’s definitely 25 better on gameday. I guess pulling recruiting in you can make the argument
