Let's talk about Jarren...

Pretty ball but lacking in every other category you need to be a successful starting QB 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I hope he’s changed but last year wasn’t a good sign.

true. last year was on coaching as well. zero leadership shown by the 24 year old QB coach. every Qb on the roster minus rosier got suspended. at some point, its also on the coaches that were there as well.

All I know is Nikosi and Williams are both better than Martell but some fannyboys act like Martell is Brady jr.

Lol more to being a QB than a strong arm and tight spiral lol. Both Kosi and Jarren have shown they make poor decisions on and off the field. “They” (Kosi and Jarren) need to grow up before you make such a ridiculous comment. I’ll tell you know Martell has studied harder than either and knows the system and plays better than either so take that as you will.

1. non biased Observer says Jarren was the best at first scrimmage
2. Cam post hand off from Jarren stating "The Future" on Twitter (Players always know who is the best QB)
3. I want him to start

I was all with you untill you said "Plays Better"

There are a lot of guys that can sling the ball that didn't make good QB's. Knowing where the ball is going, what the defense is giving you, and just having game experience are just important for a QB.

Ken Dorsey had a noodle arm and threw some absolute ducks, but he knew timing and where to go with the football.
Its amazing how many fans seem not to understand that 90% of being a QB is wrapped up in what you wrote there.

Or more accurately, it’s 100% of being a QB until you’re above a certain level. Said otherwise, if you can’t make good decisions with the ball, it really doesn’t matter how fast you can run or how strong your arm is. Table stakes is decision-making. Differentiators come in after you’re at table stakes level.

Jaren might turn out to be a great QB, but throwing a “pretty ball” in the warmup session the media watches is meaningless.

Kaaya won three Heisman Trophies on Greentree with this skill.... statue in the pocket and shook against FAU with flying bullets... set records, but not for wins..... I’ll take wins with less pretty passes in practice....

The one thing that is making things hard on our QBs is that our defense might be elite. I guess it's a double edged sword.

Jamarcus Russell probably threw the prettiest ball..see where that got him..you have to have a feel for the game. That comes with Timing and understanding of the offense

It got him to being the MVP of the sugar bowl and leading his team to being ranked 3rd in the nation.

Definitely lacked confidence spring game and scrimmage, was indecisive at times, prepration last year as a 3rd stringer was lackluster.
What scrimmage did you see by chance that you're speaking on? If he lacked preparation as third stringer than how do you feel the preparation was out of our first and second teams? People who've never played a single down of grown up football steady speak from experience on here. Just stop

Hahahaha. Bruh. U know Tate? Im gonna venture or nah

Robert Marve threw a beautiful ball.

Can we be done with this thought exercise that throwing a pretty ball is all that matters for a successful QB? Is Deondre Francois what we're looking for? Sitkowski has a cannon, too.
I'll take Francois

Funny how quickly we forget the worst QB play since Kirby Freeman. Kosi struggles to beat out Rosier, and they both had the same coaches. I have no idea how Tate or JW will fare but anything is better than what we saw vs Duke, Pitt, Wisconsin, etc. Kosi had his chance. Also, hard to argue with 42-0.
