Let me tell you about some dogs...

You guys don't get it...you need 7 receivers as they will all rotate and play a lot, especially considering Njoku is gone. Coley played with a sprained mcl last year because we had no depth. This year, he could've rested and recovered on the side line. Berrios will play a lot and should. Cager will play. Mullins will play. Thomas will play a lot. Richards will dominate. Dee Jay will play. Harley will probably redshirt as he is listed at 155.

And.....don't forget we have corners and safeties to work with!! Adding elite receivers, adds better db quality work. Rumph can only teach so much, the rest comes from game speed practice, without elite receivers, you can't get that game speed in practice! What?..you gonna send AR on go routs back to back to back with no rest,.. While doing a full session of corner, safety work? Don't you guys learn anything playing Madden football?

If Berrios was a recruit this year, he would not have received an offer from Mark Richt.
And I don't mean the high school Berrios, I mean Berrios right now, would not get offered by Miami.

This is a stupid statement.

Why is it a stupid statement?

It is a stupid statement because he is a starter on the team.

He was our return specialist.

He made many big plays for us last year (bowl game, Appalachian state catch).

All throughout spring and fall practice he was a star. He is a great role model (4.0 GPA, Extremely Hard worker).

Overall he is the type of athlete you want on your team. That is why I think that is a stupid statement.

2016: 12 Receptions, 178 yards, 2 TD's

2014: 21 Receptions, 232 yards, 3 TD's

Just FYI... The coaches evaluate talent throughout the year. They spend almost every day with these kids. They play the kids in the game they feel are the best. They are playing Braxton a lot.

You are saying the coaches wouldn't even allow him on the team when he is at the top or near the top of the depth chart?

I am saying that Berrios would NOT have been been recruited by Richt. He is capitalizing on a poor depth chart and a ****** staff from the previous regime. He is too slow and I believe he has the most drops of all WR's. He is going into his senior year with a career total of 496 yards and you want to argue he is talented? Agree to disagree.

He is the GOAT in fair catches though.

I don't see why this isnt obvious to everyone. Berrios has done what he can with his limited skillset but he's not particularly fast, not particularly shifty, doesn't have good hands. He's a serviceable kid who will make a play once in awhile and is a fine 3rd stringer when your 1s and 2s get hurt or get tired. Das it.

ETA: In a Miami caliber WR depth chart, Berrios would be behind AR, Mullins, Cager, Thomas, Harley, and Njoku.

Yeah I know a few Berrios apologists. I like the kid, really do. But to me he is the epitome of the Golden Era; high motor, undersized, overmatched, maximum effort type player. Literally couldn't work harder or get more out of his natural talent but at the end of the day he's just NOT a Miami Wide Receiver. Say whatever you want about experience etc. We have been watching for 3 years now, not going to produce much more than he has. If we are counting on him as our number two receiver this team will experience a significant regression on offense in nearly every facet, and that's just the God's honest truth. We're not asking you to like it, just accept it.

At least we can agree on something.
