Les Miles could be fired

Its funny that LSU fans and people that live there all say he sucks in here and yet Miami fans want him

He is average at best

They want him gone, they were acting like we were when his name came up for the Michigan job they were begging him to take it

LSU would have to **** out a lot of cash to rid themselves of Miles, about 15 mil. Then pony up a lot more to get the only guy they would really want in Jimbo. Fishers FSU buyout is 5 mil, then whatever LSU would pay him to be the new coach. Fisher is making 5 mil as it is now.

I can see LSU saying to Miles that he needs to find a way to open the offense up and allowing him the chance to do so. Fisher isn't going anywhere anytime soon. LSU has money to do the above, no question. Yet they are not close to being on a Texas/Miami/Nebraska downslide. They can easily afford to give Les another season to make changes and also drop the money they would owe him and the money needed to buyout Fisher.

"If LSU fires Miles before Dec. 31, 2015, it will owe him a $15 million buyout. That number drops to a measly $12.9 million if Miles is fired before the end of 2017, a meager $8.6 million if fired before 2018’s conclusion, and a scant $4.3 million if fired before the end of Miles’ contract, Dec. 31, 2019."

I'm dumbfounded as to how anyone would not take this guy instantly.
- 80% win percentage
- almost consistently a 10+ a year guy
- besides Bama he's produced the most NFL talent in the last 5 years

Insane. This guy would be our best bet at modernizing our backward football program. He's competed against the best and recruited against the best. He would immediately, as I'm sure, pressure and explain to our Admin the importance of facilities, organization/direction of recruiting staffs, etc. He would transform our whole football department. It baffles me that for a program that hasn't won 10 games in 10+ years we wouldn't take a guy who would clearly elevate and stabilize our program, making it far more attractive to our next potential candidate pool.

I have concerns with Miles. He's a circus on gameday, but my bigger issue is: why are his offenses always complete trash? He always has an embarrassment of riches at the skill positions, but he's always got some **** QB to go with some **** scheme. I don't know. It's suspect.

He's a good CEO-type coach, though.

He's a Bo Schembechler disciple. Les jacks off to Bo. He's another one of those old school Big 10 HCs who wants to play offensive football in a phone booth. Even when he has the best RB in college football, a guy who is a once every 20 years type player, he struggles offensively against good teams. They take away the run, and he's dead.

The guy gets good results. Not really great results considering the talent he acquires. And he's a complete throwback neanderthal when it comes to offensive football.

I'd take him over a lot of the guys being mentioned for the gig. But I wouldn't be excited at all about his decrepit offenses.

LOL at you jackasses talking about he won't have a bagmen here like Miami doesn't get top 10 and 5 recruiting classes anyway!

Shannon and Golden both had top 5 classes. You don't think Miles will be able to do the same or better at Miami?

I'm not concerned with his recruiting. I'm concerned with what he does with the recruits on the offensive side of the football. That Big 10 "football in a phone booth" style scares the **** out of me and seems like a waste of our best natural resources down here.

Shoot....he could lock up recruiting down here and then he has all those ties in Louisiana. Forget about it, we would dominate.
