Leeward Brown decommits

Had a feeling at least one OL would decommit.... we are only takin 6-7 OL.. St . Louis, Loftus, Christian, Milo, Mahoney, Gauthier...and an im thinkin Merrick is the only one left...wi the the injuries t our OL and redshirting, I tiink we will be fine..... Just get some **** DTs!!###

The kid was never UM material to begin with. A much needed roster spot. Mahoney will drop soon

My guess is they put a conditional offer to him early on hoping he'd progress but hasn't and therefore, soze.

Happens all the time.

I remember from his highlights last season that he played really high. If that hasn't changed, then I'm not surprised us parting ways.

Nobody is sweating this, we didn't want him, and he just made room for a better OLineman.

Expect to see the same from Spence as well.

It is the same thing that happened with Alin Edouard and Bethel last year and Turner the year before.

Happens every year, some in this thread acting like they never followed a recruiting cycle.

Um seems to be putting more stock in Merrick, Kehoe was seen at one of his games recently. I think the coaches like Mahoney I dont see him going anywhere but the U

Here are his stats thru last week...

Season Statistics: 2 pancakes, average grade 56.75 percent (played in 7 games, graded in 6).

Meh for all those claiming he is the next coming... I love the local kids, but we need studs!

I trust Al's player evaluations like I do the handler of 3 Card Monte game. Here we are in an area saturated with Kobe Beef and the best Al can do 2 piece dark and biscuit. I got a better chance catching Ebola on the Arctic Ice Shelf than Al has at landing 2 High Quality DT's.

Would love to get some insight from the Miramar crew on here as to what they think about this. I agree that some OL recruits had to get dropped to make room but I thought Loftus and Christian would be it. (still might) Mahoney locked up his spot with the whole Bar Milo thing.

He was average no doubt. And at this point, the time has come for us to stop having the "Jermaine Barton/Jonathan St Pierre/Matt Pipho" types hanging around the roster. In fact, I am one year away from giving up on Sonny. Thats not how elite teams do things. And we need to start getting on that track.

I actually like Spence. But if its between him and Chatman..I take Chatman.

Big lose for UM in my opinion. He may not have been the top rated guard but he was a quality OG in a class that does not feature a lot of elite linemen. Over my time I've learn South Florida isn't the only state that has talent but one should never underestimate someone like Brown who adds depth. Hope the staff is bright enough to work their magic in NJ and go after Tommy Hatton who should have already been a cane.

Big loss and Quality Guard? Eh no.

His cousin and former HC and current WVU assistant hasn't even offered him. If WVU or Pitt ain't bothering offering why do you he will be a quality guard?

Speaking of which we have one in Bar Milo and are in really good shape to land another (Jalen Merrick)
