"That Veronica Vaughn"...
This is rich coming from someone who thinks they know more than professionals earning millions of dollars to make these decisions.I dont need to run a personnel department to understand the power of leverage. You would too if you stopped obsessing over other posts, and worked on some self/professional development . Read a book, take a class guy, instead of policing a message board looking for conflict.
I see where you’re coming from, but at the end of the day this isn’t a business where you’re trying to turn a specific profit. The cost benefit is all based on how badly the people in charge want to win football games.I agree with your argument, something is worth what someone is willing to pay. I sell sports cards and that market shifts every sale.
Me personally, I would hope we wouldnt spend that much on a qb when we paid our current qb 4 million and he's getting it done with 7 yard passes.
Plus he will get another 15-16 games of EXPERIENCEA little under $500k a game playing behind one of the best lines in America. Got weapons all over the field. Majority of the games will be a walk in the park. Possible Heisman. Do it.
Give him a VP position in Mastec and put him on the Uhealth board too while we’re at it.Offer simpson $15m
& Lagway committed to BaylorKnight commited to Ole Miss already I think
Pribula had 11tds and 9 picks. That’s the definition of badI mean other than Leavitt, Raiola, and Longstreet
the best in the portal is Beau Pribula. At very least he's quite mobile. Hasn't been a horrible passer in his limited snaps.
Maybe you could still get a DJ Lagway or Deuce Knight.
Think like SJSU's Walker Eget is in portal still.
You’re 100% correct.Never underestimate the ability of people who make millions of dollars to make absolutely stupid decisions.
Anthony Richardson being one of the latest.
If that guy can go round one then Simpson can absolutely do it.
Ah, that's where we are different. If Emory is only costing me 500k and Leavitt wants 6 million, I'm sending Emory out there with a gasoline Snuggie...and gassing him up to get me 4 yards on a screen or hitch.I see where you’re coming from, but at the end of the day this isn’t a business where you’re trying to turn a specific profit. The cost benefit is all based on how badly the people in charge want to win football games.
IMO, there is no number (that is feasible within the budget) that a qb of Leavitt, Raiola, or Simpson’s level isn’t worth relative to the alternative of trotting Emory out there.
I’d add TTMoney won’t be mentioned if anyone else gets Leavitt. It’s only mentioned when Miami gets players. If he goes somewhere else it’s just because they are better. Somehow we’re the only team that pays for players in the NIL era. According to the media.
God bless youThis is rich coming from someone who thinks they know more than professionals earning millions of dollars to make these decisions
Was thinking this too. That is is hometown team. But I haven't heard any smoke of him visiting there whereas Raiola has. Maybe a visit to Oregon is in the works.Could leavitt be waiting to see what Moore does? He is from oregon. Other than money no other reason he hasn’t decided yet
Good stuffThis isn’t revisionist history when I say I checked in on Beck with multiple people that would know. I even posted about it when he committed. I never heard bad teammate or anything toxic / negative with culture . It was always “ he was to himself , kinda quiet , not a vocal leader “. He just played ball and was to himself which rubs folks wrong for not being engaged.
Simpson who? Sorry been a weekNo way in **** Simpson is getting $6.5M lmao.
Dante Moore is probably really what this comes down to. If he returns, Simpson is almost certainly gunna end up a 1st just from how many teams need/want QB and he'll be 2nd best available.
BUT if Dante Moore returns, there is no way we shouldn't be able to beat out Oregon for Raiola if we wanted him. Sure he may be fine sitting, but they lose their OC too. And ultimately he has 2 years to play. Sitting a year at Oregon then playing a year would be no different than like playing here 2 years. And 1 may be all thats neccessary.
