LB Francisco Mauigoa picks Miami!

I would argue that the reason they do it left and right is because they’re miserable human beings in general

But he’s still not very good no
Yes they are. I still never understood why he was out there on 3rd down passing downs. I've said this about guys like him and Ivey. They seem like great people....do everything right, never complain, never any trouble but they just aren't good football players.

Yeah and maybe it’s just me but I don’t understand our fans

It’s like from week to week they just expect these guys to miraculously become something they’re not despite sometimes years of evidence

I blame the guys at the top that can’t either find replacements for them, or can’t put them in the right position to succeed

Some kids have trash attitudes and can’t be helped but neither of those guys strike me as that at all

Right it's like what are the players going to do say they don't want to play when the coaches put them out there. People expect Flagg to have 15 sacks a game. Some of these players are limited to what they could do.

I think it was the A&M game when I lost all faith in our fans

Flagg came on that blitz and got shook laterally, like no ****

Then Mallory about breaks his neck and fans were slamming him even though he came back in one play later. It’s like yes people, he doesn’t just wake up one Saturday and become George Kittle blocking mfers like a madman

Absolutely positively correct.

And I've also pointed out that Mallory is an ADEQUATE downfield blocker, when he has some momentum and can use his size and frame to screen guys out.

But he is TERRIBLE coming up out of a 3-point stance to engage and "hold" a block on someone in close proximity.

We have fans who are completely "all-or-nothing" in their overly simplistic (mis)analysis. Mallory is decent in ONE type of blocking and terrible in ANOTHER type of blocking. Soooo...call the plays accordingly...it's not rocket science, Josh (Gattis, I have no idea if your name is Josh, JHall...).

It’s not Josh thankfully 😂

Mallory was a fascinating case study for this fan base. The kid is limited, but also does a couple of things really well. A tight end that actually produced good numbers if you go back to the streak where TVD got hot

I’m a huge Skinner fan but the kid had several killer drops and missed blocks but he was still “better” than Mallory somehow. It was pretty amazing to watch. Just like our QB situation.

thats because our fans know nothing about everything and everything about nothing.

I learned long ago it’s better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt.

Correct. He was straight butt cheeks as a blocker.

Yes. As a blocker-blocker. But I had to go back to the tape, because I had MEMORIES of him making blocks, but certain people would swear that he NEVER blocked. And when I watched some older pre-2022 games, it suddenly hit me that I was remembering Will's downfield blocks.

But...yeah...he ain't no "in-line" blocker. TERRIBLE at it...

how much eligibility is left?

it also reduces the risk of francis portaling out in a year or two which is great

this will be a nice kick off to portal szn
