Things are a lot easier when you have one coach for the entire secondary. He can still help with LBs and not have to completely dedicate his time there.

Brian Williams- Former Carol City player & Coach, coached High School ball in Tallahassee at Godby, coached at FSU & was the guy who got Matt Thomas for them, also coached at UAB & UGA, is currently the DL coach for Maryland, he’s the reason why they got Ruben Hyppolite, Terrence Lewis & Brandon Jennings, very good recruiter.

Tyrone Nix- Long time LB coach & DC, was at Southern Miss, South Carolina (during the Spurrier era), Ole Miss during the Houston Nutt era, Midd Tenn St, TAMU, VA Tech & is currently the DC/LB’s coach for UTSA.
He’s also Derrick Nix’s brother who’s the current long time RB/WR’s coach at Ole Miss.

Joseph Gillespie - The current DC/LB coach for Tulsa, he was Art Briles DC at Stepheville for nearly a decade, he got hired at Tulsa 6 years ago & been there ever since. He produced Zaven Collins & is well respected coach in Texas.







Coleman Hutzler- He coached at UF with TRob under Muschamp & was LB’s Coach at South Carolina with TRob & Muschamp too, also coached at Boston College & was just at Texas on Herman’s staff as LB’s coach as well.

Rob Wegner- Current ST’s & OLB/Rush End coach at Minnesota, originally from Ft. Lauderdale, played & coached at STA, came up under PJ Fleck at Western Michigan & is still with him at Minnesota, doubt he’d ever leave Minne because he’s Fleck’s guy, but a solid coach.

Bert Watts- Current LB’s coach at Memphis, was DC/LB coach for Fresno St, young upcoming DC that had surprisingly made Fresno St a pretty good Defense. They were 2nd in scoring Defense, 3rd in Defensive TD's, 17th in Total Defense, tied for 12th in turnovers & tied for 5th in INT's during his tenure in 2018. He also coached HS in Florida at Bartram Trail & Bishop Kenny back in 08-09, and had a brief stint with the Broncos in 2012. Was DC at UC Davis for 3 years as well.

Peter Sirmon - Current DC/LB’s coach for Cal under Justin Wilcox, started out as a GA in Oregon for Nick Aliotti on Chip Kelly’s staff, was also a GA at Tenn under Wilcox on Derek Dooley’s staff, then was LB’s coach at Washington with DC Wilcox when Sarkisian was HC for UW, then was LB’s coach at USC with Sark, then was at Miss State (he replaced Manny as LB’s coach) in 2016, then as DC for Louisville with Petrino for a year & then went to Cal once Wilcox got the HC job there. Obviously been with Wilcox for most of his career, but TRob was with Muschamp for most of his career too sometimes enough money can persuade a coach to leave the nest lol.

Tony Pecoraro - Is from Orlando, graduated from FSU, was at FSU in 02-03, then was a GA at Webber International (in Babson Park FL), was a QC coach at FSU with Stroud in 07-09, then was at North Alabama, then Alcon State, then was DC at Southern Miss for 2 years, then was at Kansas briefly, then was DC/LB’s coach at FAU on Kiffin’s staff, then went back to Southern Miss the last 2 seasons.

I would love for him to end up here. He would kill it. And there is a little more to that Thomas story but B had a big hand in getting him.
