Loved when we offered this kid on the same day Dugans was officially hired and I'm very happy that not only is he committed, but he's also canceled his scheduled OVs to Tennessee and Virginia Tech.

Williams brings legitimate Miami speed and lateral quicks. Dynamic space player and exactly the type of athlete our prior staff neglected on the recruiting trail to fill out the class. High upside player and a late bloomer.

Davon was fast as well, had a couple of bigger offers, but not a big time offer list. Three star basically, not under the radar, and I don't recall big numbers being put up in high school either. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Davon Johnson was very highly regarded. He was rated near the top 100.

You guys shouldn't care about stats in high school. They're irrelevant for a WR. Some of the best WR's I've seen have less than stellar stats because their OC doesn't know how to use them.

It took me less than a minute to realize that I liked this kid. He clearly is playing at a different speed than everybody else on the field. He goes 0-60 in a second.
 
247 doesn't do it. They are the best site for checking out lower rated recruits. Rivals just slaps the customary 2 star on them when they are unrated and commit to a G5 school. I've seen it hundreds of times.
 
I don't care about his competition. In his highlight tape, he's running away from everyone and clearly has big time speed.

This is huge news. Kid is blazing fast plus can catch and is very shifty in space without losing speed. He will ball out for us.

Only watched the first 5 or so highlights. Kid can flat out fly! Wow... He can replace Walton on KR duties next season and Berrios on PR.

Congrats on a great get. When he committed to USF, we were shocked that no one from the bigger schools had even looked at Williams, he flies off the film and smacks you in the face. 7A in that district isn't a joke, it's a tough area to play and he excelled against some of the very best. We were not pleased, to say the least when Dugans jumped ship and took Williams with him.

Make sure you watch that entire 16 minute highlight film. It's comprehensive, he shows everything and each play is different, it's not the same plays from two or three different angles, it's a full highlight video against multiple schools over the course of the season.

When they evaluate he's going to be a high 3 star at the very least. He's a 4 star guy in my opinion, and if he's driven he will play far better. I tend to think he is.
