Makes more sense for Wes to come back than it is for miami to take him back.

Emotions are the crux of the issue. Bringing in someone a week before the season starts will ruffle feathers emotionally. Will that impact the LB room and defense overall negatively? Perhaps. Is Wesley’s value over replacement worth it to test? I doubt it.

I believe in the football gods and it wouldn’t be a good thing.

Lane Kiffin will be punished by the football gods in some form or another.

Combined 5 total season ending injuries between our 2 starting 6th & 8th year linebackers? Mario basically called the rest of the LB’s out in spring for not taking advantage of the opportunity in front of them. Better hope those young guys are ready now

Absolutely. Lots of people ignoring the fact that this is a one-time situation. Will never happen again (assuming 5 for 5 isn't struck down in a looooong history of the NCAA losing court cases).

And it's a handful of players. Good enough to help a college team and/or improve their draft stock, but not quite good enough to make the NFL or NBA.

Would be nice if some people could stop overreacting like a little girl who didn't get the Barbie she wanted for Christmas.

Man I love Wes. He was one of the recruits in Mario's first class, I think .

Honestly, and I may be in the minority on this but once you're gone, you're gone. I mean I understand depth and all that but it's time to let the young guys get their shot. Also you have to look at the future LB's MIami has commitments from. Will they have 2nd thoughts knowing if someone leaves and comes back, that could eat into their PT. Again, just my $.02.
 
It sucks for these guys that they didn't have the 5 year rule in place earlier. A lot of guys likely would have chose to stay in college another year. I know Miami could have benefited from it. Possibly could have had bell, cooper, and wes back. But with all that said it's time to move on. It just looks bad because of we couldn't make a NFL roster so now we want our 5th year. Try your luck in the ufl and maybe that can get you another shot in the league

If this were to happen before fall camp then maybe look at bringing a guy back. Its too late now. At some point the players already here competed and earned their spot and should not lose it because somebody that left for draft is now getting a TRO.

Everyone just glossing over this is insane to me..Alot of these guys would have never entered the draft if this was in place before


It’s not just oh pro players coming back, no they just found out they have another year of eligibility, it’s not their fault the ncaa was late.

None of them are eligible to be drafted but go ahead and cook.

This is a horrible take. The NFL is about to cut down rosters to 53. All across the league you’re going to see teams pick up cut players who are going to jump over guys on the depth chart who busted their asses during the offseason, OTAs and training camp. ****, the Seahawks just signed a dude facing 8 felonies—their locker room will be fine. College football is essentially a pro sport now— these guys are getting paid and if they’re not performing well enough there’s no room for sympathy if they get supplanted.
