Lashlee quote

Poor choice of words
There are 3 ways to look at it if the guy is "I'm hard as a rock". 1) You agree with the reason he's hard as a rock and you stand behind him. 2) You disagree and you don't do anything. 3) Or you just like that he's "hard as a rock" and stand in front of him hoping for a surprise meating.
I picked #1.

hope he brings "the seeker"

It's a high tech robotic passing machine that SMU (I believe) was the first d-1 team to use this season...Supposedly can hit any route at any yardage and any trajectory.

Their staff (and either Dykes/or Lashlee forget which), raved about it.

EDIT: HERE IT IS

When I first saw "the seeker" I pictured a new position on offense akin to "striker" and it scared the **** out of me.

Yes our WR need this in their life

Matochia is the one being slept on, he’s a lot better than even the staff thought. Plus he’s a really good athlete and a big kid on top of it.
Seems everyone forgets what an athlete this kid was. Curious to see what he's Testing like now in a college s&c. From what we heard he was tearing up the D on scout team

Show me don’t talk.
It's the offseason. Should Lashlee just remain silent and say nothing about his views or plans? Then the same subset of fans would whine about him being aloof or having no ideas or ignoring the fans.

Don’t worry Lashlee can’t save your precious manny. How are you manny slurpers still around after the worst season I can remember

When was the last time you heard about a fight at practice?

If there isn’t any fights you your not practicing hard enough.

Nick Chickillo the OLD one played OT at SW high in the 70’s I was at DT at practice we got in the the nastiest fight that anyone who tried to break it up we whip there arzz .

After that same practice we be running together to Blue Lake jumping off docks doing cannon balls then run to my corner house on the canal and empty the fridge literally.

These days were the BEST IN MY LIFE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL

We knew these fights were critical to one on one game battles , If could pancake Nick I could slam anybody.

See it was PRIMAL fears fights Nick never got beaten because I wouldn’t allow it and visa versa with me.
I had friends who played at Southwest in the early '60's. They had some good players at SW, but always played in shadow of Gables powerhouses. When they opened Coral Park in early '60's I thought it drained talent from SW but don't really know that for a fact.

This is OT, but as a former S&C coach myself (and there are several of us on this board), I'd argue that the S&C coach is as important as any coordinator position, but always the least paid on staff for some reason. Coordinators and position coaches running around with $1.5million+ salaries while there are only 8 strength coaches making over $500k.
Nobody can deny the impact of a guy like Tommy Moffitt on two great programs( at different times.) Raises the question of: why have we had such trouble hiring other than mediocrities since then? Jury is out on Feely.
