In the playoffs?I see the perspective on Lane. He would’ve done well here I think. BUT had we hired him in 2021, we’d be in Ole Miss’ position right now.

Gonna have to disagree here. There is lots he can do, like deny the rumors and sign the extension that is likely sitting on his desk. What's the guy supposed to do? Hot name with two huge coaching opportunities (big $) being floated. He's kept quiet, kept winning. He doesn't control the media or the talk. Coming out and publicly turning down interest would just weaken his current bargaining chip at his own job. Fanbases are ridiculous.
I know this will come as a shock to plenty but I wasn’t a Seinfeld fan so what is it - I see Kramer?
Kiffin is at ole Miss in the SEC. Mario has a much easier path to success. Yes. It’s crazy to want Mario over Kiffin today. Lane is a far better coach
Probably. Wed also be in the middle of this messIn the playoffs?
Give me a break. Mario’s not really a good coach.Last season he got beat by Kentucky and Florida, who combined for 14 losses.
This season he’s beaten one ranked team and won by a TD or less against Arkansas, Washington State, LSU and Kentucky.
In their loss against Georgia, the Bulldogs scored every time they possessed the ball other than halftime, dropping 43 on them.
He’s a good coach, but give me a break.
Maybe but maybe not… but I’d take it regardless- a playoff birth ups our ability to get a quality replacement if needed.Probably. Wed also be in the middle of this mess
Sure, but can you imagine how insane this board would be if we’d hired him, and this was happening to us right now? Pure pandemonium.Maybe but maybe not… but I’d take it regardless- a playoff birth ups our ability to get a quality replacement if needed.
We’d also end up with Mario anyways lol.Sure, but can you imagine how insane this board would be if we’d hired him, and this was happening to us right now? Pure pandemonium.
I would be surprised to see him actually leave before his team’s run ends. He has personal goals for success I’d guess and all waiting gets him is more money.
Our guy Mario hasn’t always left places on the best terms. Schools get butt hurt.
Good stuff, I vaguely remember the details, but McAfee definitely mentioned his interaction with Joe E on his show.
More than anything Joe E. was offended that PM had zero clue who he was. Again, Deloitte Exec egoWould love to hear this bit, and I like PM.

I don’t think he’ll leave if he’s in the playoffs. I think he will stay through it as he has goals too but we will see.For sure, Ole Miss is going to ***** if he leaves no matter what. I'm cool with that. But that's all this entire discussion is for me. The timing. I would be surprised to see him actually leave before the season, too. That's why I posted what I did about him being a piece of **** because I read multiple things last night saying he could leave before the playoffs. Doesn't mean it's true, obviously. But all I've been saying this whole time is IF he does that, that's a REALLY bad look and I'd personally lose a lot of respect for him, not that he gives a ****. I just think that's very bad business. You stay until your run is over. If he's so great, getting to Gainesville or Baton Rouge in January versus December isn't going to make or break your tenure.
Oh good lord, again, Lane is in the SEC at Ole Miss with a way harder path than Mario at Miami the past to seasons in the pathetic ACC. As soon as I get a good usable image for you, as your avatar isn’t ideal for this, you are going in the Passover dinner here amongst the St. CoRchibal purists.Yet their results the last two seasons are very similar.

Yeah the schedule is a real murderers row. When you’re looking for new avatars try and find one of you slurping the SEC harder than the members of the selection committee.Oh good lord, again, Lane is in the SEC at Ole Miss with a way harder path than Mario at Miami the past to seasons in the pathetic ACC.
