If I was an Ole Miss alum or player, Iā€™d be ****ed at him even if he left after the season, because Iā€™m petty like that. Iā€™d hold a grudge for sure. But eventually Iā€™d get over it because Iā€™d understand.

If he left before the playoffs, Iā€™d spit on his grave 40 years from now if it took that long.

You can have him. *****made behavior. But thatā€™s IF he does. He hasnā€™t done **** yet. And I like Lane a lot, I think heā€™s good for the sport. Trolling is a lost art, 99% of these dudes take themselves way too seriously. But getting a team to a spot theyā€™ve never been in a genuinely wide open year when you have a legit shot at a natty to tell them **** you as your moving company pulls out, thatā€™s lame as ****.
 
Are we sure we want to talk about this? I remember after we lost to Michigan st in 2021 insiders on here and other sites were saying mario basically accepted the job already lmao that was what week 3 or 4?

Then the rumors were even hotter before oregon played their two most important games against utah , one for the conference championship and they got smoked twice. I think we should leave this one alone, the only difference is mario is from miami do he doesnā€™t have to send family to check living situations because they already know

The Lane thing is simple. He didn't have much SEC interest last time because he was an addict. Now he's sober and healthy, and he's everyone's top target.

Good for him for getting his life together. He's a great coach. But there were real reasons why Miami (and many others) didn't take the risk the first time. This current circus isn't a good look, either.

Lane sending his family on school planes to check out towns as a playoff front runner with a $10+m extension per year on his desk is wild to me, sorry. lol

Ole Miss isnā€™t a blue blood of course and I myself wouldnā€™t want to live in Mississippi but he made a documentary about how it saved him šŸ¤£

He didn't physically leave the team. I don't really care what insiders say or don't say. He didn't pack up his **** and haul *** down the interstate, tires screeching. And this is not a Mario vs Lane debate at all to me. I'd say the same thing about any coach who did what Lane is rumored to be doing. You don't leave your team before the playoffs to go take another job. Finish what you started, then go. If he's such a great coach, he'll be able to take UiF (or LSU) wherever he needs to take them whether he gets to town in December or January.

Did you read what I wrote? No. I said ā€œifā€. Thatā€™s the big rumor now. Heā€™s leaving before the playoff. If he coaches them through the playoff, thatā€™s cool. Thatā€™s business. If, this is a long one but Iā€™ll say it again, ā€œIFā€ he leaves as per the rumors, heā€™s a piece of **** and ole Miss should light his house on fire.

If he does it the right way and leaves after the season, then congrats to him on the new gig and if itā€™s at UiF I hope he fails spectacularly.
