We always get kids faster. How much faster is the question? Shave off .02 from his time and he's in that magic 4.4 range. I like how he high points the ball too. Not this video obviously.

Speed? I love his second burst. I know the camera doesn't capture the full play, but look at how he starts to slow down as he approaches the DB, and then he re-accelerates right past the guy and ends up 10 yards behind him.

A lot of times, a "fast" WR can't get enough separation at the line of scrimmage to get fully untracked (Pope). I like the way that his second burst of acceleration was utilized, never giving the DB the chance to get close to him during the slowdown phase.

The deep speed is nice but the footage I really liked was of him fighting for 50/50 balls. He’s not a huge kid Mossing people but he’s solidly built and uses his body to shield away defenders well. He’s the kind of kid you can trust to make a play on the ball even if he’s not wide open.
