Lamar Thomas

It's a job....UM is still in his heart, but at the same time he's employed somewhere else. It's like when Ken Norton Jr. was on the USC staff as their LBs Coach. USC used to pummel his alma-mater UCLA. He still had a job to do, including neg recruiting against UCLA but he was still a Bruin through and through. I'm not mad at him one bit. And if we offered him a job RIGHT NOW, bet money he'll leave UL hecka quick.

Can someone please ask Golden when our competitors will stop being able to get their licks in? Thanks
 
So much for the "U" family at least as far as Lamar Thomas is concerned. Funny thing is, when Thomas was playing for Miami we'd have a TON of empty seats in the Orange Bowl for all of the non-premium games as well. Poor attendance isn't a new issue for the 'Canes. I can understand supporting your new team, but trashing your old one is pretty pathetic.
 
Lamar has a job to do and part of his job is to recruit south Florida. That means going against UM. We all know that Lamar is all Miami.

Golden controls the attendance issue? Funny, because that issue has been around since I was a student at UM in the early '90s.

This is a former player openly trashing his former school. Idc who signs his check. There are ways to go about reaching out to recruits.

If Muschamp did this, everyone would be outraged.

This board has a bunch of contradictory ***s on it.

On one hand you attack Golden,the staff and the administration for the condition of the program, even attack members of this board for stating opinions or being optimistic. Lamar Thomas takes a shot at the same program/coach that you aren't satisfied with (The same S**T you do on this board) and now you want to get all in your feelings about it. LMAO. A lot of ya'll some straight up B****ES...

He wasn't taking a shot at Golden, he was taking a shot at the University of Miami's football team and the support they get. What annoys me the most is that the picture he showed is not during a regular season game. So not only is he attacking the support of our attendance, but he is exagerrating it. There are plenty of things you can attack us on right now and that includes the ineptness of the coaching staff or the actual attendance of our games.

This is below the belt. And it shows insecurity on Thomas's part. When you are confident in who you are and what you have to sell you don't go out and trash the competition. You just show how you are better than the competition.

What Thomas is doing, and what get posted on here is two different things.

Even though most posters are repeating what someone else said, or just flat out talking out the side of their necks, at least MOST are just upset with where this program is currently at.

Thomas is just flat out mocking this program....So ya, **** em....

mattyports: I think it's kinda funny, since sports are sports ... but it's worth pointing out Miami drew more fans than Louisville last year.

what the **** is the difference? negative recruiting is negative recruiting. who cares if it's on twitter or said in a player's living room.

and I doubt fsu gives a ****. because coley is a sorry *** coach. I'm just saying it's retarded to care. they're grown professionals fighting year to year for their job. if tweeting something like that gets an extra recruit and saves your cushy $200k per year job, it's worth it.

It hurts cuz it's true. Best way to shut him up is to win, and we're not doing it. Are we so freakin soft that we can't take a little trash talk?

Just doing his job. He has to recruit.
But maybe next time they do 30 for 30 about UM he should stay away and wait for the Louisville one to be made.

Maybe on paper, but not in reality. some games we show attendance around 45 - 50 K, we have a realistic number of 10 - 15K actually in the stadium. All number manipulation.

The difference is that it is a hoe move.....

The same guy who was yelling about this is UM, this is what happens when you come in our house, blah blah blah, is now the same dude openly disrespecting the same program.

Like I said there are ways to go about doing your job, then to openly mock a program you once claim to love and have so much loyalty for.

And I don't think this will effect on a recruit and Thomas knows that. I believe he was just taking a chance to take a shot at UM, as evidenced in his reply to Mike's tweet. You do crap like this when you are holding a grudge.
