** Right state, wrong school … Our Bill Greene threw in a Crystal Ball prediction for Deerfield Beach (Fla.) Class of 2020 star Jaylan Knighton to join the fold. That made us happy.
So we made a few calls on our own to see what the latest was. Knighton is big on the Buckeyes. And we entered the conversation thinking what most others thought: Florida State was the chief competitor for Knighton’s commitment.
But according to our source we had the right state … wrong school.
“Miami is the threat [for Knighton] not Florida State,” our Sunshine State-based source said. “ will recruit him under the radar. The kid will be on [Miami’s] campus but never mention it to recruiting reporters. [Hurricanes head coach Manny] Diaz knows this game and is not to be taken lightly.”
That info did not make us happy.

Oh ****, yeah I saw this last night and didn't even put 2 and 2 together.

FSU has pretty much put all their eggs in the SNL basket. Most of their people think if he doesn't make it up for that event, he's not going to FSU.

Well, the date on that is July 27th. DB's staff is saying their camp starts July 22. So guess who wouldn't be making it to Tallahassee that next weekend?

But guess who can make it to Miami anytime he wants?

I don't want to get all giddy, but part of me just feels that if Miami plays **** good ball this year and wins, Manny will have all the juice.
