Kingsbury vs. Strong on FS1 right now

Don't want either of these coaches. They're rumored to be in the running, though, so figured this game could generate some discussion.

Texas Tech leads Texas, 7-3, with 12:47 left in the 2nd quarter. Strong's offense continues to look like a dumpster fire. They're making Texas Tech's defense look competent. And now Strong's squad gets flagged for an illegal substitution before a punt. Where have we seen that before?

Texas Tech: 122 in scoring D, 126 in total D......Holding the black Al Golden to 3 points.

Pete Ariz is pausing the game every time they show Kliff to rub one out. D$ doing the same when they show Corch Strong.
 
Texas' offense is back on the field against one of the very worst defenses in the country.

Interception by Nigel Bethel. Yes, that Nigel Bethel.
 
There was a coverage bust from Strong's defense and Texas Tech had a lay-up touchdown, but Lauderdale dropped it in the end zone. The drop on the would-be touchdown forces Tech to punt.

Warren with one **** of a TD run for Texas immediately following Tech's drop in the end zone. They had 51 total yards through 24 minutes of game action against Texas Tech's defense before that 91-yard TD run by Warren.

Texas' offense coughs it up and Tech recovers at around UT's 35-yard line. Tech scored on five plays with very little resistance from UT's defense.

Tech leads, 17-10, and would be up by two touchdowns if not for the drop in the end zone by Lauderdale earlier in the 2nd quarter.
 
Strong's awful offense got the ball back with 1:42 left in the first half and 3 timeouts. 9 yards on first down, dropped INT on second down, stopped on 3rd & 1. Clipping penalty declined on third down.

Aside from one monster run by Warren, UT's offense looks like an absolute horror show against one of the worst defenses in America.

Except TCU only beat TT by 3 points.
 
Have to laugh at the fit excuse, next thing you know they will say Tech has more talent.

Almost 300 yards given up in 1st half by D guru Strong

They are definitely gonna fire this dude. Can't see how he survives. Charlie Strong is going to cost us Chip Kelly. Guy is the biggest piece of trash coach I've seen in years.

Meaningless. Texas Tech game was a fluke. Strong lost by 43 to TCU. I'm confident that a tag team of KingStrong would manage to at least replicate that.

Golden's work with our talent + schedule is unparalleled. I think strong may get another year just because it's his second year. He'll undoubtedly be fired after year 3 though.

If he gets fired, I expect him to be our head coach. Blake apparently really likes him

Golden took over a 7-6 team and won more games in his first 2 years than Strong did taking over an 8-5 team, and Strong had no "cloud" excuse. At best, they are equals.
