Kingsbury vs. Strong on FS1 right now

Charlie Strong, in his infinite wisdom, gave Chris Warren a total of 18 carries through their first 10 games.

Tonight? 16 carries, 177 yards, 3 TDs against an overmatched defense. How on earth does a kid this talented (high four-star recruit and Army Bowl All-American) see so little playing time until tonight?

You seem reasonable in some posts, then I read you picking Strong as some elite level coach. No way!

Elite defensive coaches don't give up multiple *** kickings! His D really should be much better.

More likely, Strong IS what you think Herman will be. A guy who won against lower level talent as an HC, and built his Power 5 resume as a coordinator, but a guy who is not an elite HC.

And the fact that you continue to discredit Chip Kelly furthers the perspective you're more contrarian than anything else.

I'll give you credit, though. IMO, Butch and Strong are the same candidate, at this point. And you support them both. At least you are consistent.
 
Chris Warren gave Texas' abysmal offense some signs of life.

No such signs of life from Charlie Strong's defense. Texas Tech just drove 75 yards on 7 plays without even facing a single third down. 34 points and 521 yards of offense for Kingsbury's bunch with over 14:00 left in the 4th quarter.

He doesn't have an incredible defense at Texas. The whole state of Texas plays spread garbage and no one in high school learns how to play defense. Ask Matt Viers. If Strong came to Miami he would have access to better players.

You are basically admitting Charlie is a average coach that needs to have his baby bottom coddled and put in the perfect place where he will be a right "fit" defense is his strong suite and his team looks like us in 2013. Meyer went from BG to Utah to UF to OSU and won. He took his system and then adjusted it according to the players he had until he could get his own in there. Funny how he hasn't been a bad "fit" ANYWHERE he's coached. strong sucks. But I am actually rooting for him to win so Texas keeps him one more year.
 
This Texas team plays like Muschamp's Florida teams except at least Muschamp knew defense. Whoever Miami hires the games/offense can't be boring.

Jimmy was a "INNOVATOR" he came to Miami and turned safeties to linebackers, linebackers to Ends , Ends to Tackles. He did this in the early 90s! He was also a master mind manipulator and could rally his team and get to them play with an edge. Charlie is about as simple as they come....he's randy ...great collector of defensive talent ...great DC ...got lucky in the Louisville situation with a once in a generation type black QB who was GONNA play for a black coach no matter what and the rest is history. STRONG was who we thought he was ....nothing more.
