His sales pitch is that he IS the program. Players are welcome to become part of his machine. Bama is a blackhole of personality. Recruits should also learn about how multiple players on the Dolphins were ready and willing to beat him senseless because he is an asshat who does things like stepping over seriously injured players without a shred of concern about their well being. How come this great coach couldn't even last 3 seasons in the NFL? Several coaches have won at the college level then won a super bowl. Those guys proved they can coach at any level. Saban didn't.

If you had the choice between Urban Meyer and Saban to lead Miami, who would you pick? I'd choose Meyer without hesitation.
 
Same thing all the players at our school said when we went on winning streaks. Just posted a clip from the U on the other thread where our players said the same thing about competing against the best in practice and how during games it was easy.

If he was a rapper we’d say he just bit our lyrics.
He’s literally almost saying word for word what was in the U documentaries.

Even edge talked about how Portis told him he was gonna commit only if edge declared.
Edge told him “you should want to come even if I stay for the competition”.

Hasn’t anyone kn here seen the documentaries on us?

If any other person spoke that mundane, we’d say it was an awful pitch.

It wasn’t impressive at all but because it’s Saban and he twisted the narrative to benefit him (easy to do when you win), some of y’all act mesmerized.

Sorry to break it to you, but most great coaches are builders, not every coach can pull that worst to first, hocus pocus, pull the rabbit out the hat $h!t that Urban Meyer does at the cellar dwellers that He inherits.

Saban starts freshman if they ball. There are exceptions. Ps2 and Minkah for example.
J Brooks will be taking a lot of reps by the end of the season book it. And the receivers this fall will be working extra hard to make sure that doesn’t happen and J Brooks will be working extra hard to make sure it does. That’s how development works.

That's the difference between us (and our attitude), and "them".

I had this convo with a poster last year when I said it's an easy decision to follow the sheep, go to Bama with the other 5 stars and play for championships every other year.

Where are the competitive mf'ers that that say I'm going to take my path and try to knock them off?
Where's the group of 5 stars out of Georgia, Texas, LA, or South Florida that have the balls to say "we're going to stay home and work our effen asses off to bring a Natty here"
