Clayton (N.C.) defensive tackle
Keshawn Stancilwas impressed by Miami's recruiting efforts.
Other top programs are pursuing him as well, but Miami defensive coordinator
Corey Hetherman did something they have not been doing.
Hetherman attended Stancil's track meet to watch him throw the shot put.
"Most coaches wont come to watch anybody thrown an iron ball so that was a big shocker to me," Stancil said. "Most definitely it felt good that he came to see me. Everybody was like, 'Oh yeah Miami came to your track meet.'"
Hetherman's coaching style has impressed Stancil.
"He ain't the type of coach to have all the d-linemen dropping in coverage," Stancil said. "He want us to go straight forward and go get the quarterback. And that's the kind of coach I want to play for. If I know that's what you want me to do, I'm going to give you 125 percent every time."
