Kentavious Street

This kid is solid but I'd rather go the juco route and focus on DT's. We already have guys that hold a similar skill set.

FSU eliminated him....understand the young man has grade concerns so who knows. Hopefully he's not too far off and by the time he comes to Miami in January the staff will much more about the academics...

FSU says they're gettin Pettway and he's higher on their board so "they cut Street" because they would be full.

yup. I read these exactly from warchant

All they're missing is him saying he's afraid of competition

I agree that we need DTs more but we arent exactly stacked at his position either. Kamalu and Chickillo will be gone in 2015 and then we only have Chad Thomas there........

are we recruting him as a de or a dt?? de in a 3/4 and dt in a 4/3 front??

Sign him and figure it out later

no doubt.. just curious as to our plan with him. i see him as being able to get up to 305-310 if he is truly already at 270 and being a dominant dt or 3-4 end

I agree, he looks like the type though that you have to really have the right plan for his weight almost like how LSU uses their guys which kind of scares me about their interest in him

I see him as DE all the way, maybe gets up to playing SDE in our system. He isnt 270 either, he weighted in at 256 at that Rivals event. Sometimes you dont want a kid to just keep gaining weight, they will lose that explosiveness, and this kid is already supposed to be crazy strong. Two comparisons they threw out was Bullard from UF and Lawson from AU.

i really believe if we can get him and get him up in that weight range with what were already bringing in i think we could have a devastatingly disruptive dline/pass rushers

I completely agree that's why a team with the right plan for him can get a star

Well if he measured at 256 i wouldn't be suprised if he came to miami if they use him like shayon. They said street is very strong and is more explosive than green. Look at that spot next year it's only aqm, gilbert and green are gone.

By the time he steps onto the field in college he will be around 280, maybe more. He ain't gonna play Green's spot. I see chickillo's spot or Pierre's maybe.

We manage to pull this guy and it has to be our best DE signing class, on paper, since........... ever?

Nah man just because he is 256 now doesn't mean you turn him to a dt. That dude is to athletic for that. Shayon has been in the 260s range for about 3 years put him on that same plan. You can add strength without packing on a lot of weight.

We get people playing green's position though, a bunch. AQM, McCord, McCray, D Jack and Smith are all perfect for that rusher position. Street plays WDE maybe SDE. That is where we need him at. Yeah we got Chad slated there but in order to get back to the promised we are gonna need more than just that. Stack that talent, so if Chad gets dinged up, the next guy is just as good. If he outgrows WDE, well then he has a spot at SDE.

He could be a beast 3-4 DE that knows how to get pressure in the backfield at Miami.

I would say it's really between NCst and Miami but you never know w/ these $EC schools.

I don't think the staff will turn down great talent, especially at this position, just to go the JUCO route. they will still continue to target DT's since that is obviously our biggest position of need...in more ways that one. But you don't turn down great talent when it comes around.
