Kendrick Norton waived by Panthers

Yes, I realize how an argument works. First you called him average and then defended that position by using stats. I'm not acting like they can't be "productive", I'm saying that's not how they're judged. Any other brilliant comments from you?

I think I have a stalker. It’s cool man I get it you think Norton was a good college player we ALL get it.

Meanwhile there were posters here insisting during spring 2017 that Norton would be a first round pick. It's the annual carnival to overrate our own players, particularly on the defensive front. Somehow we miss all of the prime recruiting targets at defensive tackle year after year but it doesn't matter because we can merely Happy Adjust the guys who are on the roster.

When Warren Sapp is on the field we'll know it. There won't be any need for Happy Adjuster threads or whispers that the coaches love Jon Ford.

The NFL is now a passing league with more plays run out of nickel defense than base. I have no idea how a marginal athlete like Kendrick Norton with virtually zero upfield push is supposed to be coveted player, given the way the game is currently played at NFL level.

Maybe he'll find a team that does have that desperate need for one more body in short yardage and goal line situations.

NFL teams only have 1 cut now so of course he made it to the final cut.

I didn’t know the roster cutdown days were changed. Thanks for the update.

Still, he was good enough to keep to the end.

No ill will to Norton, but he made a poor choice.

Hopefully these guys will start to learn that staying another year can be a good thing

RJ Mac still listed on the Giants roster. Hope he sticks. I also see Ray Ray Armstrong and Thurston Ambrister on the squad. Good to see Canes hanging around.

Giants have Vernon but we know he’s a stud.

Update: McIntosh is on the reserve/non-football injury list. He has not practiced since the Giants picked him in the fifth round of the 2018 draft. I forgot he was stuggling with a health issue.

**** Norton u played urself smh 🤦‍♂️ And I thought u was ready. Slap whoever sold u that dream Kendrick

No, the basis was the stats. Now that you've been made a fool of, you've changed. I don't need to take a poll on here. Considering 2% of college football players are drafted, he's not average. Considering he was all-ACC 3rd team and honorable mention, he's not average. Considering he was playing here as a true freshman, he's not average. He was foolish to leave early, but was still drafted as a 1-tech defensive tackle 3 years after finishing high school. That's not average.
Playing as a true freshman doesn't make him above average. Golden had no choice.

Every year, same s***. So frustrating to watch.

Can someone with graphic design skill please make a chart/graphic with all the UM kids over last 10 years who left early only to get cut and have no NFL career & make little to no money. Honestly need to plaster this all over these kid's twitters, UM football facility, etc.
Holy **** how bad are your posts?

Stop man, an average college player does NOT get drafted into the NFL. Stats are meaningless for nose tackle type DTs they are there to eat up space and take on double teams. Should he have stayed another year of course it was a horrible decision, but he is definitely a good college football player. You sound like an idiot calling him average
