Even if a team like Vanderbilt could pay him more (and they wouldn’t), he’s still pick UM. He wants to be a HC, and he’d have a better shot getting there from here than almost anywhere else.

Possibly. But our last 3 HC's haven't done very well after leaving so he might see it as a dead end.

Our last 3 coaches got ****canned. They didn't leave. They were told to GTFO.

How are you not getting that being Miami's *successful* OC for a year or two would catapult his career?

This athletic department and its leadership from top to bottom have been a complete failure for the past 15 years. It’s easy to blame Rick (and he has been a complete bomb this season) but he is just a symptom of a bigger problem in The Gables.

There were warning signs with Rick but of course The BOTs ignored them at their own peril. Ask Georgia fans if the only thing you can say positive about Rick was (He was a **** good man) please run in the other direction.

How many people have said Saban, Meyer, Kirby Smart or Jeremy Pruitt are “**** good men”? I think I have made my point here.

Think Briles needs to distance himself from his past a little longer before becoming a head coach anywhere.

He’d be a great match here as OC imo.

With how Texas Tech season is going would Kliff Kingsbury be a possibility for OC if he gets axed at Texas Tech?
