Kelly out at LSU?

Game day had a good convo this past Saturday.

Basically these NIL donors expect results quick fast and a hurry.

Use to be a few big donors understood their investment for a new coach meant 3-4 years before he builds a championship program. But with so many donors now, NIL and the transfer portal.. MF’ers aren’t trying to hear it anymore.

These coaches at big programs are basically getting 2 years tops to be consistent contenders or they’ll probably be out the door.

As a fan, although it’s kind F’d up.. can’t say I’m mad at these coaches feeling the constant level of pressure to win or lose your job.

He did well at Notre Dame because ND as an institution is structured as a top down chain of command where the HC is superimposed as the autonomous authority figure, basically he’s the Head Priest of the program.

At LSU, it’s the Wild Wild West (Deep South), it’s a band of Rebels & you have to be a...

True, but also think this LSU roster is $20 mil +. And I think Auburn’s is just a little less.

Yeah but a bunch of the openings were lengthy coaching stays and teams that weren’t exactly rebuilds when they took over.

That's not entirely on Dabo. Clemson doesn't have the money to be a threat in the portal. Don't let him fool you. Dabo would spend like an old lady at Hamrick's if he went somewhere like LSU.

Probably. If he took all of it in like two years with no constraints he’d probably be able to get a job and not have the buyout offset.

Also reads that Kelly wanted out too. Dude like that, just doesn’t fit in southern culture. Especially LA culture.
