Kelly Bryant is transferring from Clemson.....

Usually to receive a second reshirt, it would have to be a medical redshirt and granted by the NCAA. I'm sure there are loopholes though..

Kid waited his turn during the Watson era and did nothing wrong. I get that Lawrence is the goods but this is a bad look for Swinney IMO.

Yeah it only works for Bryant because he didnt redshirt. Rosier could have grad transferred and played right away, but not after playing this year ad the games he has played count as a year without redshirting (which he already used).

You have 5 years to play 4 in one sport and can play 1 year in another sport (Jimmy Graham in football). His clock started in 2014 and runs out this year. If he got hurt this year, he could petition the NCAA for a 6th year, but can not ask till after the season.

Man that's weak.

How is it weak? He sat behind Watson, waited his turn, did everything he was asked to do on and off the field, led his team to the CFP last year, and was completing 66% of passes through the 1st 4 games this season. Dude wants to play ball and Clemson wants to go with the talented Frosh. Both sides win.

What? Is it a bad look for Richt to bench Malik? He waited his turn too. Lawrence is on another planet compared to Bryant. If these QB’s were on our team this entire board would have been calling for Richt’s head if he didn’t name Lawrence the starter in fall camp.

Exactly he don’t owe Clemson ****. Kids gotta do what they feel best for themselves. Coaches and schools do it.

The only way Rosier could have grad transferred is if he didn't play this year. If he hadn't already redshirted, he could have used his redshirt this year (as long as he only appeared in four games or less) and transferred somewhere next year. There's a receiver from Oklahoma State (can't remember his name but he's had at least one 1,000 yard season) who's doing this too. He played the first four games this year and then quit the team to transfer. He can technically use 2018 as his redshirt season and play one more year at another school.
