Kellen Wiley Jr, LB Progress

[HurricanesR1]

I'd feel better if Chase Smith were a rotational LB and not a starter. Hopefully Bonner/Wiley continue to improve.

His highlights are so refreshing. We need to play him more. I’m not sold with Smith as a starter.

[Derrick Griffin]

Saw everything we needed. Let him play now and get the gremlins out. Have him ready for the heart of the schedule.

Congrats, Pops!

[BALLHAWKU]

Wiley and Bonner looked the part. Move really well.

Time to play them more .

[htownkidd]

Looked good to me, looking forward to seeing more reps.

Bonner really impressed me on special teams as well

I get Mario likes the experience and that Toure is basically the QB of the defense. But Kellen got a clear nose for the ball and always seemed around the play on those runs. Think it’s going to be hard to keep his off the field as the season goes on

he's our best lb....wiley

[cway313]

This is what the **** LB play is supposed to look like. Bruh was an animal when got in. Having Chase get a single rep more than him is a travesty.

Heatherman was LB coach at Rutgers when Toure was playing there. I think he trusts him more out there

[nycane]

patience. guy's take time to pop. Wiley and Bonner I think will both step up as season goes on.

Old heads in the way tbh

of course.. Thats "his guy" and why he transferred here.. Like I say, politics as usuallllllllllllll

Do you know how much better you would have to be, how undeniable to pull an 8 year vet on payroll, to bench for no experience??

[Hurracanes]

Enough of the Chase project. Wiley deserves more reps. This kid is a problem.

Toure yes but not Chase. I’m sure we had to do a lot to get Wiley to not go to Texas that kid is gonna play ASAP

[drewm3i]

I think chase should spend more time rushing the passer - he is good at it.

Free Wiley

Well, done by that young man, it’s definitely looking like he’s learning how to play the position of linebacker out there and not just a pass rush specialist. Definitely would like to see him out there playing more.
