Keir Thomas Offered

Thomas is a really good player. He may be light for a DT but he's versatile enough to help you in multiple roles.

Would love to land him and Cook.

Flies off the ball and lives in the backfield. Want him and cook.

So glad Golden is gone. I still don't understand why, but it's absurd he never offered players like this. If Keir is actually 6'2-6'3 thats perfect for a DT

Numerous outstanding 6'1" DT/NG playing college ball. As long as he is a baller, that's all that's all that's important.

Doesn't he weigh around 240. How many 6'1" NG have u seen that weigh 240? Like the kid alot, just nor sure what position he can play.

the last one i can remember of note..was the kid Wake Forest trotted out there...He also made it to nfl..because i seen him playing for the Giants at nose tackle as well...he was a guy asked to do one thing at his size and that is shoot gaps...using his advantage.

I think Thomas is a tweener..problem is not sure he can line up at end....he ultimately may top out as a 6'1- 6'2 260 pd dt.....

Now if we get him we need a precise role for him..(on passing downs)...he's a situational player..but from a feeder program...so i stillwould take him..and redshirt him and see where it goes.

This is my concern..His testing numbers:

He was 6'1-235

40-Yard Dash
5.00
Worst: 6.75Best DE: Xavier Kelly 4.55

20-Yard Shuttle
4.66
Worst: 500.00Best DE: Tom Sylvester 4.16

Vertical Jump
27.6
Worst: 15.5Best DE: Antonneous Clayton 37.4

Power Throw
35.5
Worst: 16.0Best DE: Chinedu Udeogu 46.0

SPARQ Rating

I dont know if some of you can remember maybe DMONEY, GEO may can remember but i look at him as a kid maybe similar to another Central Product....MILES PACE who went to UCF....ended up as a tweener their trying to play dt/de...ended up getting shelved and transferred out to Virginia Union (div 2) and was productive this year.

.

Nikita Whitlock. He was a total monster in high school, probably one of the top 5 defensive players I've ever seen at that level. Unblockable in HS when he was both bigger AND faster than everyone he was playing against with that strength & motor.

Kid motor was crazy...it still is. Its comical watching him play..because hes so small but like a tazmanian devil. That motor got him in the nfl playing as an undersized dlineman. Thomas has the get off similar to whitlock though...

That's the exact kid I was thinking of. The Giants use him well. He's a fullback and he plays obvious pass-rushing downs.

I think Thomas has the versatility to contribute. In his highlights, you see him at DT, LB and RB. He could help on special teams, goal-line as a FB and as DT on obvious passing downs.

He's just a great football player at a feeder school who is close with a big-time guy in Jamel Cook.

Our great DTs were not tall. They were thick with quick feet. We made our living collapsing the center of the pocket and destroying plays in the backfield, not blocking passes at the line of scrimmage.
