#KeepManny2022

Let's look at it this way. Manny surviving through the regular season by virtue of winning out keeps the recruiting class together. Let's say some of got your wish and he is gone....your new head coach in December or January could have no EE signees and basically be out a class. Or left trying to put together a transfer portal haul. That doesn't solve the sheer numbers issues that we face at cornerback and linebacker that are helping to make this the second worst defense of the last twenty five years. If we fail to land corners and linebackers, I don't care if Saban is the head coach. Without the bodies, the defense doesn't become better.

Reminds me of our 99 season. Admin could have fired Butch after going 1-3 to start the season. But the team rallied behind coach Davis lead by our Skinny freshman QB. The rest is history
big difference, Davis had a group od assistant coaches who could develop players..... the present staff has given no indication they can develop players.......

He’s been here since 2016. He has had to remake his staff twice already. His roster management is garbage. His personnel deployment is worse. And the defense, that he personally took over, gets sodomized more than Mia Khalifa. There are serious flaws not only in scheme, but in technique, leverage, football awareness, and player development. This is as big a **** burger of scheme, personnel usage, recruiting, and fundamentals that exists in the P5. And it’s all overseen by the same guy for 6 seasons

Its not just the players, Mrs Diaz
could not agree more, player development is putrid and will not get better.... these great FR. will not improve in coming years with present staff

Crazy what 2 wins against NC STATE AND PITT do to this fanbase now.
recruiting is 1/2 the issue. player development from this staff is non existent. Nesta being a perfect example a talent that has not improved one iota .....
I agree, but we can't beat his *** for all his incompetence and not credit him for what he does right...

What recruiting class?

Manny is finally listening to other coaches on the staff and before his seat got hott he wasn’t doing that…those freshman have have passion and heart…I love it…when you’re a new head coach learning on the job..one of most important things U have to do learn to listen to others…Manny knows NOW what he has to do…if he keeps his job..he needs to hire a DC..either Trob or Shoops or someone from the outside BUT he definitely needs a DC and a REAL LB coach and go N the portal and get a freaking LB and Manny definitely needs to keep Trob by any means necessary with TVD learning Lashlees offense this year and N spring ball and fall camp…Miami could do BIG things NxT year…those freshman R learning and applying that experience to NxT year..watch out…Recruiting for 2022 will B fine if Miami wins out and win there bowl game…the Ruff start to the season is just what the doctor ordered…Let’s Go Canes
just do not see a huge step forward as player development is so poor, they win despite CMD. Lashlee finally looks like he is running the offense that was so effective at SMU..... glad to see the end of the dive play last couple of weeks

hoping Blake goes, we hire a competent AD who can make final decision on CMD. i would like to both go but UM is so cheap even though they have the cash...... they will opt to save 8m$ and assistant coach s salaries ( if blake will pay the contacts)

What recruiting class?
We need bodies, as well as talent. I want Khamauri Rogers and Chris Graves at cornerback. I want Markeith Williams to be a part of this class.

Worst situation is a new coach comes in and these guys are signed somewhere else, and now we go two years without landing a single cornerback.

Funny when this season started most people thought 10-2 or worse was a fireable offense.

Man how fast things change

Well put.

Everyone had Miami losing to Bama and one conference game hiccup—a "Coastal or bust" attitude and making a run at an ACC title.

Now we're good with 8-4 and hoping to win a third-tier bowl. Embarrassing.

I don't care if the guy wins out, or not—he's trying to play head coach and defensive coordinator and he's failing miserably at both.

Dude was Miami's hot **** defensive guy a few years back and now that he's taken the position back over (which in itself is an egotistical, amateur hour move)—that side of the ball doesn't remember how to tackle.

The Canes have given up just shy of 2,000 yards and 139 points the past three weeks—and only won the last two because TVD put up insane numbers; 800 yards, seven touchdowns and one pick.

This defense is abysmal and when future d-coordinators bring more pressure at Van Dyke—as Miami has no power ground attack; just dumping it off to Knighton—things will unravel.

Now that Miami should win out on paper and just beat the two "hardest" teams left on the schedule; guarantee they drop a winnable game and show up flat somewhere between now and Duke.

Amazing how people think he should keep his job. His defense, which is supposed to his specialty, is like Swiss cheese. They get shredded week in and week out. He hasn’t recruited well at LB and that’s on him.
Add to that he was choosing to play upperclass men instead of the best available player.
He got lucky with some of the injuries because he had no other choice but to play the young guys. The young guys have nothing to lose and everything to gain. As many have been saying all year they are better than what we have.
If anything it shows how stubborn Manny is and he can’t make the necessary decisions a head football coach needs to make.

That is 2 ranked teams, not the garbage we were losing too which indicates turning the corner...We keep doing the same thing and it is time to recognize when an employee has adjusted to the job and improved as Diaz has or we can bring in another savior and go through the same cycle over again...I hope the BOT is smarter than the complainers

I know better than to ask but Mr Fraggle what exactly has Manny Diaz improved upon? The defense is actually worse than last years and after North Carolina who would have thought that possible. Sometimes the very alignment has them beat before the snap. The corners are even more gunshy than before and he continues to blitz when it is obvious it is not working. What can he take credit for? Lashlee is calling the plays and you can say he has improved his play calling a bit. And the kids who are balling out are newcomers. What's wrong with you guys?

Now I can possibly understand the argument of keeping Diaz - since his players seem to want to play for him-- under the condition that he hire a defensive coordinator and one that is not a practitioner of his gimmicky defense. And require that basic fundamentals be taught. But we are back to where we started because Diaz can't coach fundamentals and he is not hard *** enough to demand perfection from the players and have them respect or fear him enough to step it up.

Win out, win bowl game and it will be a dumb move to get rid of Manny.
Manny is a horrible coach. From improving players to game management to discipline (penalties) to fundamentals like tacklilng. I am sure if he wins out they won't fire him, but we could lose to Georgia Tech this week. When you play down to competition and every game is this close, you end up losing games you should win. Georgia Tech sucks but watch them put up 500 yards of offense.
