I'm dumb because I don't think that guy going 8-4 with a ton of talent returning, winning a garbage dump of a division(Which will require a ton of help) and possibly beating Wake Forest for an ACC title is worthy of an extension? Call me dumb then. Miami is winning in spite of Manny, not because of him. I'm not committing long term to a guy that can't even grasp the concept of defending the middle of the field. I'm not committing long term to a coach that is so incompetent that he thought that not playing the best players from jump was a good idea. You don't commit to Manny long term, and if you can't commit long term to Manny, you have to cut bait. He has a 5 year deal, we are in year 3. If he isn't worth an extension right now, then you have to move on.Man this place is dumb.
Again, wanting losses to ensure Blake and Manny goes =/ not supporting the players.Ok dude. We’re not going to agree on this. You all are valuing canning Manny over supporting our kids who are giving it their all despite Manny.
Think you missed the part when we lost like 7 starters to season ending injuriesFunny when this season started most people thought 10-2 or worse was a fireable offense.
Man how fast things change
We've been on this merry-go-round of switching coaches too long. For once we have a coach that is not afraid to fire bad hires and correct what is wrong and finally has a QB and a bunch of young studs that believe in Hurricane football. Diaz is as in love with the Canes program much more than anyone that is validly available. He is the first "failed" coach I have seen here that is working his butt off to get us better. We can continue the cycle of a new coach every three years or give him one more now that he has us performing well. Not only will it ***** up recruiting, it will load up the portal with our best talent (see what happened to Tennessee recruits when they fired their coach). Now if he doesn't work to fix our LB and OL problems or losses pile up, good riddance, until then I like what he is doing. As far as close scores, I guess posters here only watch our games, most games are within a TD or less. I hope others are sick of the vicious cycle we've been in for 20 years. Name any other during that cycle that did what Diaz has done in fixing what is broke be it players or coaches...none have.Manny shouldn’t be the coach and there are only like 3-5 people on the board right now who are actively propping him up. They’re a limited group.

By the way, how many 10 point underdogs won today?
****Reminds me of our 99 season. Admin could have fired Butch after going 1-3 to start the season. But the team rallied behind coach Davis lead by our Skinny freshman QB. The rest is history
The fact that Flake still has a job after a decade of Athletics mediocrity shows their tolerance for failure.Manny is going into year 4 of a 5 year deal. As bad as our administration is I can't see them extending him even if he wins out. They have to fire him after this year even if he wins out right??
You can hate the Vietnam War but still love the guys that were drafted and went.Manny shouldn’t be the coach and there are only like 3-5 people on the board right now who are actively propping him up. They’re a limited group.
Now the four losses are forgotten lolFunny when this season started most people thought 10-2 or worse was a fireable offense.

But y'all said Blake Baker was the problem. His linebackers are terrible he can't recruit linebackers they are complete trashIf they do keep Manny at the very least he needs to man up and hire a competent D coordinator.
