People wanting Manny to stay are saying they are happy with 7-5 ( if he stays that’s the only way he does) and a defense run by him that’s worse that D’NO’s and I didn’t think that was possible.I still think IF they keep him ( knowing the U and it’s politics they probably will ) he will be made to hire a DC but the big question will be will the new DC be made to run this ****** scheme he thinks Is something just south of the ‘85 bears or will he stay the fck out of his way…We all blamed Baker last year as well we should have but after watching this crap again this year it wasn’t all Baker as much as it was Manny mandating he he run this trash defense.

Record be damned Manny needs to go because of the defense,his idiotic choices in player evaluation and his decision making in general.

And that is the point. If Manuel Alberto Diaz wins out and has another killer recruiting class. I am good with that. These fake Canes fans cannot get themselves to be happy about winning and actively root for failure. They somehow believe that loosing is what is best for the program. We have been loosing for 16 years. I think we should try turning rhe program around by winning for a change. If that means we back into the ACCCG during the worst season of the division. So be it

90+% of us want Manny gone but Blake should be the one to go immediately and the decision needs to be made by his replacement.
 
I don’t know if Manny will be allowed to stay but I have to credit him and the staff for keeping the players motivated. I’ve seen past Miami teams get punched in the mouth and then lay down the rest of the season. Actually let me credit the youngsters on this team for showing some testicular fortitude too!

But Mario has more wins in a row and Stoops coaches in the ACC. FIRE MANNY, bring Butch and hire Jimmy as a consultant... we gonna ruin a bunch of folks on this sites Holidays after we win the ACC

Is it enough? Manny wins out, that’ll put him at 8-4 which is exactly what the school wants while they continue to cash in the ACC checks. Even slightly above .500 is good enough for them.

His narrative is how his experienced players got injured and how much the next man up freshmen are fighting and winning. The experienced players are the better players but we never really got a chance to see it due to injuries.

Blake and Manny are tied. One stays, both stays.

I’m not in agreement with this. Chances are that both go, as they should, but I care a helluva a lot more about getting Blake out than Manny right now. I care more about hiring a new, legit AD than canning the Coach. If a legit AD comes in, he can sort through it as he sees fit, and I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt since a legit AD knows better than 100% of this board.
 
This guy sucks so badly as a coach and people want to keep him around. HFC

I think people here have Stockholm syndrome.

What gives you the confidence Blake will go if Manny goes on a run here? Blake can point to how his conversations with Manny and that public statement he made turned the season around. He made the coach accountable. And as I understood it, he has a lot of supporters on the BOT.

The three major sports at Miami eat complete ***. Fire that boob as well.
 
I'm taking a sabbatical from this toxic website, and who knows how the season will play out, but right now TVD looks legit and the young players are getting better and more experienced each week.

But obviously you bring Manny back if he ends up 6-2 or even 5-3 in conference. Think about it:

1. Scheduled two top five teams out of conference. Thanks for that.

2. Team leader, veteran quarterback who the entire offense is designed for, gets hurt and plays hurt and is out for the season. You have to throw a freshman quarterback into the fire who learns on the job for two games. Both losses.

3. Two of the top three running backs out for the season.

4. Only preseason all ACC defender out for the season.

5. Despite all that, still should have won the UVA and UNC games. Obviously close games can go either way, and that's true for Pitt and NC State as well, but the UVA game was clearly ridiculous. UVA scores a touchdown where a ball lands on somebody's back. I've never seen that before. And the freshman kicker, who hasnt looked that good to be honest, misses a chip shot to win it. That's a brutal tough loss.

I love Manny's passion for the job. This is his dream job and it shows. I've seen plenty of examples where coaches are on the hot seat and the players want him gone. That's not the case here. The players have circled the wagons and love their coach. That's telling. That tells you he's a good recruiter. He connects with people on a personal level. The first two and a half years have not gone as expected but I think he's found a quarterback and his recruiting classes are awesome. Thank God for the freshmen and sophomores. Hopefully we go on a roll and the fan base gets behind him. He deserves some support and the program will do so much better with some continuity for a change. Save the $8 million buy out and use it towards more staff and more facilities. That would be money better spent.

Okay, back to my sabbatical at least until three- four more games
 
if he wins out great chance nothing changes, CMD will ask for a DC and Snake James being the consummate bureaucrat that he is will say yes
CMD winning out lets all SR.mgmt skate on tough decisions.....and Hecht family remains intact great for CMD bad for program short and long term
