Reminds me of our 99 season. Admin could have fired Butch after going 1-3 to start the season. But the team rallied behind coach Davis lead by our Skinny freshman QB. The rest is history

I think he should still go, but if UM is stubborn enough to bring him back.. he has to get a DC.. his D philosophy is getting us killed.

His D needs great LBer, S, and most importantly DEs to work the way he in vision .. he isn’t recruiting good enough to get the talent at all those spots, for this Defense to be really successful.

And that would likely kill TWO recruiting classes.

Even if we win out, he should be fired for failing to play the best players, and for his failure to make the playoffs in year where the entire ACC is down. The cards were perfectly lined up and he still screwed it up.

Rather than viewing it as a success, view it for what it really is, a missed opportunity to really put the program on the map by playing up to our potential.

He failed for not playing the better players and not fixing the LB/DC situation. That should be enough at this point to can him but please just make Blake go away and have a legit AD deal with it.

I really really like Manny and absolutely love that we are winning! But he can’t lead Us to another National Championship and that’s now a known fact. There isn’t a Hurricane fan in existence that believes he can.

I hope we win out and still fire Diaz and Blake because it will send a strong message to our new coach and the national landscape that we are serious about winning again at UM! Winning is also selling our roster to the new coaching staff and making our players happy enough to stay.

This winning is the perfect scenario!

Happy for Diaz regardless.
Pluses and minuses aside, he's putting in the effort -- noticeably just like his players (whether winning or losing).
Don't know if he will win out, but his players seem to like him and have stayed unified.
