4. Brad Kaaya | Soph. | 6-4 | 209 | Miami

High School (2014): West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade
247Sports Composite: Four-Star (0.9356), No. 7 Pro-Style QB

Kaaya is one of two players on this list who outperformed expectations last season as a true freshman. He won the starting job in fall camp and never relinquished it, showing continuous improvement throughout the year. In 13 games, he completed 58.5 percent of his passes for 3,198 yards with 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Of the 11 ACC quarterbacks with at least 9 starts and 15 pass attempts per game, Kaaya led the conference in both yards per attempt (8.5) and pass efficiency (145.9). Given his age, Kaaya’s development is nowhere near complete and he’ll look to take another step forward in 2015. Unfortunately, he’ll have to do so without the services of many of his favorite targets from last season, including receiver Phillip Dorsett, tight end Clive Walford and even running back Duke Johnson, the school’s all-time leading rusher. With Johnson gone, Kaaya is now the centerpiece of the Miami offense, so the team’s success – and possibly head coach Al Golden’s job – will be largely dependent on Kaaya’s level of play.

Below him at 5 is UNC Marquise Williams

3. GT Justin Thomas Runs GT offense flawlessly
2. Everett Golson LOL
1. Deshaun Watson

this is a really weak year for ACC QB play

Kaaya, baring injury, ends up 1st round pick. Not so much the others. Injuries are rapidly putting an end to dual threat QBs in NFL. Soon only ones that have shown they can be like the Wilson will be getting picked. RG III has ended the market for guys who "have" to run to make their passing game work.

But they're great for college.

Watson is the most talented QB in the nation. Him number 1 in the ACC is not a stretch. He led the nation in QBR as a true freshman. And I would not say the ACC has ****e QBs. Have you seen the SEC??

Watson, Golsten, Kayya, Thomas, Brissett, Voytec is ok, Williams with UNC is very good,

Oh I forgot about Voytek... Yea the ACC is deep with qbs... And I think Kaaya is at the right spot... I think all the qbs in front him are better while he is better than the qbs listed after him... Not bad for a sophomore... This is a good qb league which has qbs playing in a variety of offenses... I think it has the most depth at the position competing with the Pac... In the Sec outside Miss State, who else has a strong qb? Big 12 TCU then...? Big Ten has OSU and Mich St then?

I completely get having Deshaun Watson and Justin Thomas ahead of Kaaya. But Golson? **** NO.
Watson is legit, and Thomas is a very good Qb for GT's offense. Golson isn't very good though. Kaaya had a much better season than he did last year. Oh and didn't he lose the starting job during the season to like a freshman or sophomore or something?

Regardless, the Pac-12 will have the best QB's statistically this year (Kessler and Goff). tOSU is gunna have an annoyingly talked about QB controversy, and Connor Cook will be pretty dam good.

As far as Qb talent goes it's probably Pac12>B1G=ACC>SEC>B12..

Is there a QB ahead of Kaaya there that you'd rather have right now? I wonder if Jimbo ,under the influence of sodium pentothal, would admit that we have the better QB this season?

I'd take Watson over Kaaya this upcoming season for sure. EG would be a maybe as well. I don't trust this OL at all and Kaaya gets happy feet and loses his center when he's under pressure. Both of those QB's offer better scrambling ability.

The GT QB, good for their system and he'll have to prove it as they lost a lot this year.

What the **** has Kaaya proven? Golson has played in a national championship game.

Golson > Kaaya

Thats funny because most outlets close to nd said golson and kelly didnt get along which isnt uncommon if you watched kelly coaching style amd heard previous players talk about him...Kaaya still has some proving to do but the skills are there..Watson is on another level tho kid is like Winston and can win an NC with him

That's a fair take. I'm just buying into what I think Kaaya will be but (as you alluded to re: the o-line) that's an iffy proposition when you're dealing with anything involving potential and the recent state of this program.

True, but our problems have not been not using dual threats, but rather no having good enough pro style QBs or the coaches for them.
