), so his expectations aren’t as high. Kid has answered when his number is called, and I expect that to continue…

Which matters way more. We've had plenty of stud LBs who were at best 6'0. A 6'0 230 LB is perfectly fine (in college or the NFL). I don't know where people get this tall LB thing.
Spence and Perryman were also very explosive and had a good first step. Flagg was not explosive and his first step looked like he was stuck in concrete. I haven’t seen much of Marcellin’s tape, so I can’t comment on him. But if you are saying his tape reminds you of Flagg’s, then that concerns me a little. He may not ever see the field.
dont know if yall know this...but Flagg started here ...then transferred way and started at Missouri an put up good numbers..
So this past cycle was his first real evals? Or does this go back to when he was hired, cause it would be hard to start from scratch with what we had on board already

Had the brain but not the athletic ability.
He was a leader on the field, too, when the team needed it.
It’s funny to see he is the face of our bad lbs when the others were so much worse
Oh yes, I am well aware Flagg started here, and was our best LB for two of those seasons. We also had a walk-on linebacker get quite a bit of burn for a couple seasons. That just showed how bad our LB corps was for those years. He was a good leader, good teammate and smart player. I’ll give him all that. He just wasn’t very good overall.
Agree, I just don’t think he has the required athleticism to play at this level, but I hope I’m wrong.
And the fact that flagg started here says all you need to know about the previous staff. I’ll never forget the play he made against Clemson for us, but that individual should’ve never have been the starting linebacker at the University of Miami and I think we can both agree on that.
Absolutely there is, but not as your starter. He’s what you would call a really good locker room guy. But if you’re starting a player with that kind of lack of athleticism, eventually it’s gonna burn you. I’ll always be grateful for the play you made against Clemson and that was all brains right there. But if we’re being honest, he should’ve never have been the starting linebacker at the University of Miami. That’s just a fact.
