Kaaya playing subpar this year.....

When under center he is good definetly not great. He is much better out of the shotgun. Almost like Brock Berlin back in the day, where you can tell he is just so much more comfortable not under center.

I think the reason BK gets shade is expectation vs reality. We keep hearing about his first round talent, but he hasn't necessarily been able to put the team on his back and will a victory.

This. I keep hearing Top 5 pick and heisman caliber, but I'm not watching elite college football quarterback play.

That's it right there. If the media did their normal routine and just ignored anything about the U not involving potential sanctions, we'd all be good w the qb play.

Kaaya is playing much better this year as compared to his history.

Very high level of mental processing

Don't forget this is his first season with this playbook and with Richt. A lot more under center than he's used to. I expect his footwork to get better as the year goes on. Word is that most of his QBs make the jump year 2 when the playbook and footwork go to the next level.

I fully expect him back next year.

Richt helped Tech chew the clock once Miami went up on the two defensive TDs. Had Kaaya been allowed to throw 30 times today, he would've had close to 400 yrds against this secondary. Y'all make me laugh sometimes.

That's a stupid expectation, because very few, if any quarterbacks can do that. Don't get it twisted, there aren't many Vince Young type athletes out there, and even Vince had help. Remember, guys like John Elway, who were far and away more talented than Kaaya weren't able to lift mediocre teams to great success in college. Kaaya does his job at a high level, and he's done it DESPITE having little to no help from his offensive coordinator the first two years. He's done it DESPITE playing in a program beset by nonsense both within, and outside the facility. People forget, Ken Dorsey was significantly less talented than guys like Scott Covington, but Ken played with superior talent, and was given a better chance to maximize what he did have.

I've been critical of Kaaya when he deserved it, but what I saw today on that last TD drive is, I believe, what is in store for the rest of the ACC. Hurry up, quick decisions and passes. In 7 days we will all be happy.

Yeah, I've been critical of him but there were a couple of drives where he looked amazing. For me it's the bad drives that I don't like, when he's bad, we go 3- out. Which at some point will hurt is. I see guys like Jackson, Hurts even this cat at FSU and I see NFL arm strength. They rip the ball in there. When Brad has his timing and has time he is great. He has NO pocket presence. I wish he could spend a month with Tom Brady, he can't run but he moves so well in the pocket it doesn't matter.

Admittedly it's nit picky the things I don't like about his game. He's a good quarterback and I do trust him to win us a lot of games.

Saying Brad has no pocket presence is way off. Look at how low his sacks are. That's not because he has a good OL, it's because he gets rid of the ball.

He's making most of his plays from shotgun.

Footwork needs work but he will start on Sunday's for the next 10 years

lol based on what?

Watching every game he's played in since he got to UM.

I think he should stay another ear, but he has it between the ears and that's what you need to succeed at the next level.
