Actually when the Lions cut him last time, there were people calling the sports show complaining about BK being cut.
Yesterday, many were calling and saying the Lions should take him back.

That's pretty good news 1.4 mil doesn't hurt. Like it or not the kid made the right decision for himself.

This will no doubt upset some posters on here who declared his career over after he was cut by the Panthers.

When Detroit originally cut him, it was stated then that they planned to re-sign him to the practice squad if no one else claimed him. Carolina rolled in and picked him up, so that the Panthers cut him, the Lions reclaimed him.

... all due respect, dude went to Detroit in the sixth round, was cut, picked up by Carolina, cut and is back in Detroit.

For a kid that left school a year early to chase an NFL dream—hardly a stretch to declare his career pretty much "over".

Sure, he can kick around for a while—but what does his NFL tenure really look like long-term if he's already gotten cut twice since September?

I believe you have to play 5 years to be eligible for the retirement. I heard that way back when Dorsey was still playing but don't recall the specifics, or if it's still valid.
