Just finished QB1

I think any problems integrating into the locker room will be helped along by Brevin who seems to be well liked.

Love that the kid is ****y ( even though his mani-pedis and manicures don’t help that..lol) but there’s a fine line between ****y and being an ***.

I’m ready for the kid to come in and play cause he looks like a stud even though the show shows him more as a runner than a passer.

I would imagine he has learned a few life lessons since that show was done. I am watching it now, too. On episode 7.
Kid's competitive and has a TON of self confidence. Can't wait to see him on the field

We need to be praying for a waiver cause I doubt VERY seriously if Martell is graduating.

During one of the last episodes the OSU coach was asking him about his classes .One was weight Training. One was working in the office checking in late kids and the REAL hard one was a black and white photography class.

He’s wasn’t taking college prep courses and it doesn’t seem like he was even taking AP classes.

So as it’s been pointed out graduating in 2 1/2 years is difficult IF your moving credits forward from HS.Im doubting Office work and weight training are going to get you very many credits to move forward.

Family has a lawyer.Lets hope he’s doing work cause I’m betting that’s the only way he’s playing next year.
so because he had all electives his final semester, you don't believe he accumulated a ton of college credits? And you don't think he can go to med school? I'll take his brain over yours, sorry.

Point was jack *** is that if he’s taking all electives his Sr year which is fine then he wasn’t taking college classes that would have helped him graduate in two years.
And you don’t know me so as to taking his brain over mine that’s great. No problem but my brain got me a masters in economics and allowed me to own and run a multi-million dollar business for the last 30 yrs or so.So my brain has done pretty well for me.

He enrolled at UM today. He is not graduating from Ohio Taint.

Waiver or bust.

Your right. So all that crazy talk of graduating in 2 years while playing football was just that ..crazy talk....oh and that talk about being pre-med? Yea that ain’t happening either.

If they grant Fields his waiver I think they almost have to grant Martell his.Yes different circumstances but circumstances that inter-twine regardless.

He was on track to graduate in May.

He will need 2 semesters to graduate at Miami.

I appreciate the backup! There were quite a few posters that were telling me things like "You don't know what you are talking about Brevin said he will graduate this year"
"there are a lot of rumors about him graduating. When there is smoke their fire"
and similar posts like that. I think it may have been in another thread that has since been deleted. I just remember going back and forth with atleast 4 posters about this that night.

I watched QB1 just before the 2018 season because I needed football already. Watching it I thought to myself man this kid is just reckless. He’s the type that only liked by his team/fans. Others can’t stand him. The juxtaposition between him and Fromm didn’t help him either. But now, Money Martell is the leader of the Miami Cartell so we welcome him with open arms and love him unconditionally.

The self-importance that some business owners possess will never not be funny to me.

I'd wager 85% of this board are not college grads, but more likely to have a loud and strong opinion about graduating college.

Multiple times I have posted the math on how he could be on track to graduate in 2.5 years. AP test, CLEP tests, dual enrollment could have gotten him a good head start. He had 2 summers to earn 24 credits. And he had 5 regular semesters (most college students graduate in 8 semesters. It is possible, so I take the claim (of being on track to graduate in May) at face value until I have proof otherwise.

I'll give the kid credit, he sacrificed a stone-cold-lock to be eligible in the fall (by graduating) to show up early, learn the playbook, and get his practice reps. And he might not even be eligible for the fall.

I'm pulling for Tate. I hope he gets the waiver, as much for himself as for my alma mater.

I'm well aware of how it CAN happen. My best friend from Miami got a triple major in three years. That doesn't mean it's likely.

And it's all irrelevant now because he left and cannot grad transfer.

Could I just point out something simple?

I haven't seen the show, but I know that he left Bishop Gorman early because they would not let him graduate mid-year.

Thus, he was at another school for just one semester, and he should have been done with his primary HS requirements in 3 years.

So he did (for the most part) 4 years of HS in 3 years. Maybe he jerked off for a semester. Then he enrolled at Ohio Taint in January.

I'm not saying we should nominate him for Phi Beta Kappa, but we should give the kid a bit of respect for getting his academics accelerated.

Started QB1 with preconceptions on how Martell would come across. Came away optimistic. Just a kid but a winner, and not as arrogant as you'd expect. Expected to dislike Fromm but he seemed like a good kid too. Easy to see NFL in his future. Extremely impressed by the Bowers kid. A natural leader. Think he was honor society too. Will be successful no matter what. On season two, seeing Fields makes all the stuff at Georgia make sense. Worst attitude... discussing changing his throws to increase his comp % with his dad mid game, taking himself out of games because they "didn't matter" anymore. Didn't strike me as a competitor or leader.

I understand, you're pretty reasonable. But there are other guys who just don't like to listen, and act as if Tate's decision to enroll at UM right now is somehow proof that "they were right all along". Also, see my post about how (essentially) Tate did 4 years of HS in 3 years.

He may not be an academic genius, but he keeps his business moving along.
