Jurich

Like a few on here said I might understand the search firms stand point. If they think Jurich is a liability for a program they of course won’t interview. If the school wants ti go ahead and interview him that relationship is pretty much over.

More than any AD news I am concerned about Manny coming back. They CANNOT let this happen. There is no reason.. the wins at the end of the year?! Most of them came against ****** teams. His defense is garbage; he’s losing his offensive staff… PLEASE DO NOT DO IT

So Mario said no
This entire thing was Mario or bust Imo. The school hasn’t changed ****. They still want their boy in there and if not status quo. **** I feel bad for manny at this point Bc he looks like a dude who’s fired on the sidelines but no one is giving him the news one way or the other. Either fire him start over or tell Mario you have a deadline to give us a response by so the status quo can find a new sfaff since the o is leaving

This actually does make sense from Turnkey's position. A search firm is not going to be tied to a guy (Jurich) that has a past like his. I've been a part of several search firms in the past when helping other churches with finding pastors/leaders. Search firms typically stay clear from candidates with a checkered history. If Turnkey recommends Jurich to Miami, and Miami hires him, but then Jurich's tenure as AD is problematic, Turnkey's credibility and reputation will suffer. It sucks, but for Turnkey's sake, they have to do this.
Wait......what?
Turnkey would present a list of who they vetted that does NOT include Jurich. Their liability stops their. Whatever Miami does is Miami's business not their business.
Turnkey could even present whatever damning report on him to Miami but they CANNOT dictate who Miami should or should not hire.

Based on this tweet and the tweet from CIS about making our voices heard if Manny is retained, it’s not hard to see that perhaps the “insiders” sources jumped the gun. Not to say that it wasn’t the truth at one time, but this sure does look like we are about to hire a **** bird AD and keep Manny

I want jurich. But I’ve been wondering why someone so qualified, who obviously wants to work has been on the sideline. How many ad jobs have come open since he was exonerated? Nobody has offered him a job, or has he been turning down jobs.

So let me get this straight:

1. New money swiging d*cks wanted Jurich
2. Old guard eunuchs wanted some empty suit that would retain Manny
3. Compromise was search firm would propose candidates
4. Search firm threatens to resign if Jurich is considered

Are we sure this search firm is impartial?

The old guard is DIGGING DEEP to keep the mayor's son in power.
"AD is secured"
@919cane he was. Thus the blowup from the search firm and the BOT who had no say in the firing of james and the ad. Its pretty obvious if you use your brain with what D posted. Lol if you cant figure this out now.

I know D$ has been spot on and I'm sure this is coming from a good source but this just doesn't make enough sense to believe IMO....

It's like a realtor saying they'll quit and accept no commission if you buy THIS house.

The search committees role is to provide a list and evaluations of each candidate. If Miami asked to do a workup on Jurich and they said "No" it makes no sense. If the search team doesn't like him, make that case in an evaluation, not say "We Quit if you interview this guy".....something doesn't add up.

Almost feels like someone is blowing smoke to find the leak.....

So much for we are in a great spot between Mario and Lane 24 hours ago and Manny has been fired since Michigan State…

Just out of curiosity, If Mario and Lane are both a no go, then who out there is a clear upgrade over Diaz?

I’m starting to think the powers that be are looking at it this way. Something tells me you will hear some stories in the coming weeks about how Miami reached out and found out they weren’t going to get either guy.

I don’t want Diaz back, but if those two guys are off the board anybody else is an even bigger roll of the dice than normal. We’d be taking another flyer on someone.

I had a back and forth with a poster a few weeks ago because I said was skeptical that we were going to pull ourselves from James and Manny to Jurich and Mario or Lane. When you have 20 years of proof, it’s hard to get excited about things like this

This is the analysis going on. Would they be better surrounding Manny with the best paid staff in CFB? There are some arguments for this.
