Josh Pate On Players Being Lied To In NIL Deals

Doesn't matter if that's the only reason you chose. You go to a school you love and they don't pay what they said they would, you won't love that school for long.

These kids didn’t go to TAMU b/c they loved TAMU or their “football” tradition; they went b/c of the promised pay day. It’s one thing to see high profiles kids end up at the traditional blue blood schools that’s pumping out NFL draft picks, but it’s quite another where a “business” decision was made & that other party is not holding up its end. Yeah, that’s going to wash away that love pretty quickly.

Agreed. I'm just pointing out that even the kids who went to a school for love will sour on that sh*t if they don't get paid. Feeling like you've been lied to is real tough to get over, even if you really love the school.

This is just the normal evolution of a new market. Gonna be bumps and bruises. Fair value will be found somewhere. See Vilma's comments from couple of years ago. He was all over it. Not surprised that dude is wickit smaht!

Go Canes!
