Why? If decently cheap it's be a good addition. He'd be a Horton replacement and we literally only have 3 non freshman at WR currently.

We need 2 WRs to add at minimum. We need the best WR we can get in portal, and then someone else on Young's level would be quite good imo

Clearly you missed the game where beck tried to hit Colby with a pass that wasn't perfect, and Colby gave up on the play while the DB covering him picked it off easily. The same exact thing he did to TVD. He can stay away

2023 Beck is all world and a future 1st round pick
2024 Beck commits way too many turnovers, especially in big games.

The difference between the 2 seasons, IMO, was the cast around Beck. So I guess we will find out whether 2025 UM talent wise is more like 2023 UGA, or 2024. I would assume we will be somewhere in between. We won’t have a threat like Bowers, but we also won’t drop as many passes as 2024 UGA (which in turn, I think, lead Beck to press and take risks resulting in lots more INT’s).

Beck is more than a game manager, but he isn’t Cam Ward in that Beck can’t will his team to wins. But give Beck a decent defense, good RB’s, OL and WR’s and I believe he is more than capable of doing very well at UM. But he needs all the parts around him.
I think the biggest difference will be the offensive line and running game. The 2024 Georgia offensive line and running game was trash, Beck was sacked 15 times and they were ranked 120th in the nation in rushing (they were top 10 in rushing in 2023).

When you add a trash offensive, historically bad rushing attack, and a receiver core that leads the nation in drops, its amazing that Beck put up the numbers he did (3,485 yards, 28 TD's and 12 Int's.) 13th in the nation in passing yards & 14th in passing TD's, while (as another poster mentioned) basically throwing to Pope and Wiggins.

Miami will have one of the nations best offensive lines in 2025 and a top 10 running game. I fully expect to see Beck 2023

That should get us a PO birth with an improved defense.

Kid has a ton of natural tools, gifts. Just gotta learn the nuances of the position and ultimately see how he handles the pressure of games. The former takes time while the latter we'll find out quickly. Glad this new wr class is making some noise cuz we need 1 or 2 of them to hit.

Add to that, Beck was a sophomore when he did that. I would expect that he's grown mentally too

We also have a much better offensive line than 2024 Georgia, and a much better runningback room. Don’t forget that.

For me what really made beck WAS HAVING BROCK BOWERS. His receivers have always been mid. Beck has done his job mind you. But I've never seen him as anything more than exactly that. He's not a game changer. He's not gonna wow you with his throws. He's gonna do what he's supposed to and that's all we can ask.
I also think Lofton can play a role similar to Bowers. Well, I’m not saying Loftin is Bowers, but their strengths are very similar and I think the Beck to Lofton chemistry is going to be amazing.

I agree on they should have a good year together. Any comparisons to Bowers though(in any capacity)I'm gonna hold off on. Lil early for that when Brock Bowers is quite possibly the best tight end prospect seen in like 20 years.

Agreed however I honestly think Lofton amuses me

He can do everything and wants to hit everyone and the water girl going down field

I expect big things from him
