Jordan Seaton to Portal to Knoxville Car Wreck Guy (LSU)

We wanted him so this is not the staff’s position, but I’m glad we didn’t get this guy. Him and Levitt are cut from the same cloth. Bad reputations and family members running their processes.

That said, we have to figure out this OL. Too many misses in the ‘24 class.
Careful D. You'll be called a mope soon for the slightest of suggestions that there are questions along the OL.

Just like Myles Garrett in Cleveland. Congrats on the sack record but yeah, has all that money and record to go with the L’s forever. Probably won’t go to some type of winning team until his last year in the league.
And Myles will be a jag by that point attaching himself to some Super Bowl winning type team. Never leading the team. Just riding the coat tails

We can lose a player in a tight recruitment and not hate his skills. Let’s keep it real. Seaton would instantly become our best linemen the instant he stepped foot on campus and one of the best tackles in UM history.

Seaton can ball! He is really that good. Would have love to have him.
I mean his stats are not that good to be saying all this. He’s big and can move, has potential, but is nowhere near a finished product. He’s pretty mid at run blocking.

Now, I would have liked him, but Samson is going to surprise some of y’all. He’s big and can move as well. He’s been behind some specimen at LT, Bell and Rivers.

Why hasn’t it been hit harder in the portal then?
My guess is Mirabel thinks he has 4 guys who can start on next year's roster amongst: McCoy, Samson, Cantwell, and Rodriguez/SJ. We picked up Merriweather, whom I suspect will either fill a platoon at a guard spot with Buchanon (or someone else) or be the extra OL in heavy packages like Rodriguez was this year. We obviously could have gotten more OL help in the portal but chose not to.

We'll see how it works out. I'm not sure we could have found a better tackle than McCoy/Samson or Cantwell in the portal outside of Seaton. Whether they made a mistake in not getting a plug and play starting guard or center remains to be seen.

Mirabel's a great coach, and he's replaced more starters on an OL before and had a more than servicable OL the next year once before (Oregon 2020).

Who are the 2 FCS olinemen you feel could play at Miami?

Go Canes

SMALLER THAN OUR GUYS BUT GUYS I THINK COULD PLAY HERE IF THEY WERE TO COME.

Get them and let them compete. Whoever wins, wins. But lacking experienced depth is potentially what keeps us from getting back next year

This guy is probably our best shot. He’s playing just above MAC level ball in the Missouri Valley. NDSU, SD, ILL St, ND, and SIU send dudes to the league every year.

Has Jayvin James signed with Bama? I know he committed there but I have not seen anything saying he signed. He’s from Pompano and played for Ely.
