Yea I think Meriweather was coming regardless. Gaby also said it has nothing to do with Seaton.

Agree - Cantwell must play. Not necessarily start.
Cantwell is making more than Samson and is a much better prospect.

Meriweather strikes me as rotational piece who’s gonna have to carve out a spot at LT or G.

Not sure why everyone thinks Cantwell is lock for RT. He is a freshman, he may or may not start. I'm fine with him being rotational piece
Merriweather is not startjng next year. If he is, we are in trouble and our OT depth/talent has been misrepresented.
Kid is still a bit of a work in progress. He’s very athletic, so there’s hope.

Just because you pay a freshman a lot of money, doesnt guarantee he starts out the gates.
He will play/start when he is ready, regardless of money.

Meriweather isn’t a starting level tackle at Miami.
I’m fairly confident that Okunlola gets the first crack there and he’ll never give up the job.

Apparently these dummies haven’t heard of one Francis Mauigoa. Day one starter. No reason to think JC can’t do the same, especially since he has already been practicing with the team.
