Jordan Scarlett Tweet.....

This staff sucks man we only have the 3 of the top RB's in this class. This class sucks!
Tell me about the defensive recruits we have committed in the 2015 class....tell me about the DTs and DEs we have committed or are even considering us ? Oh ok.

Since you asked...

Scott Patchan DE (also TE in HS)
Tampa, Florida; HS: Freedom - Class of 2015
6'6" 240
40: 4.53
20-Yard Shuttle: 4.63
Vertical Jump: 31.6"
Power Throw: 38.0
SPARQ Rating: 89.79

Fun Fact: Patchan’s keeping it in the Miami family. His father, Matt Sr. was a standout left tackle for the Hurricanes.

Big 3 Sleeper: One of the most highly recruited defensive linemen in the country, defensive end Scott Patchan was a surprise early commit to Miami despite being a legacy at the school (father OT Matt Patchan and uncle LB Dan Mariscal both played for the Canes). Since then, Patchan has absolutely blown up, but he also recently signed a grant-in-aid with the University of Miami. His ranking (no. 49 DE) borders on the criminal on Scout.com.

Great motor, plays mean, fast, and completes tackles. Athletic and long (6'6" 240: 40: 4.53), we expect to see some great play from him in the future at Miami.

Richard McIntosh, Jr. DE (also OL and some TE on offense in HS)
Fort Lauderdale, Florida;
HS: Cardinal Gibbons - Class of 2015
6'5" 255

This defensive end has good size and is athletic. He’s quick and fast. McIntosh can rush the passer and chase plays down from the backside. He will get bigger, stronger and fill out. I love his upside.

His high school coach said the Chiefs used McIntosh at tight end, offensive tackle and he even took a few snaps at center. The 6-4, 255-pound McIntosh is Miami's second defensive end commit, according to Rivals. McIntosh has more than 30 scholarship offers.

Ryan Fines DL
Bradenton, Florida; HS: Manatee - Class of 2015
6'4" 305
40: 5.09
GPA: 3.6

Fines is a defensive tackle prospect from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy. He moved to the area two years ago from Colorado and spent last year at Bradenton Manatee. Fines, 6-foot-4, 290-pounds, is one of two big bodies in the middle of the IMG defensive front, as he lines up alongside Arkansas commitment Hjalte Froholdt (6-4/292). Fines is more of a high effort player that can occupy multiple blockers to free up linebackers behind him to make plays. Fines is a run stuffer, plain and simple. He has a good build and a lot of lower body strength. Fines is tough to move and can take on and challenge double teams.

Thanks Homer. I'll give you McIntosh and Patchan.
However, Fines sounds like another Golden special and Patchan is coming off a knee injury and i'm sure our staff will find a way to **** him up. My point is, we need some ballers on the d-line (see Josh Sweat to FSU), not guys we hope and think should develop into big time players because under this staff, they haven't . If we cant develop AQM into a beast like we should be doing, and turn Chick into a slow "high effort" guy, what in the world makes you think we can make Patchan and McIntosh ballers ? With this staff, we have to be star whores. Not sure how you don't realize that by now.

Fines will be the Courtel Jenkins of this class. He will make people eat their words like Courtel did too. He is the perfect 3-4 NG for our system. Doesn't want or need stats just wants to occupy blockers and fill the middle. If he is really 6"3 like the sites are saying I'm intrigued. If not, I'm a little nervous.

Awesome, he will fit right in on this 6-7 team.

No clue. But the way some of our fans hype some of the kids on this team you'd think he won the Outland.

Michael Wyche didn't win that award?

We haven't had a single player on the DL turn into anything more than a pedestrian player since the current staff's been here.

Why should we expect Patchan, McIntosh, Fines etc. to be any different?

Gee, I sure hope he can rack up 14 whole tackles, no tackles for loss, and no sacks as a freshman too.

He compiled basically no stats and made almost no plays for a 6-6 pile of **** team. Same **** all the other guys who are being squandered have done.

Yes, and we should have four! No excuse to have only three top flight RBs committed.

And throw in the Lawson kid. Staff sucks for not convincing him to come in when we already have a young stud QB that the staff recruited last year. Staff sucks for recruiting Kaaya and scaring off Lawson.

Ohio State has a redshirt freshman QB who emerged as a Heisman candidate this season in Braxton Miller's absence before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Their third-string QB, a former four-star recruit and current redshirt sophomore, starred in their Big 10 Title Game destruction of Wisconsin with Barrett sidelined.

They also managed to land Torrance Gibson from our backyard, despite there being just a one-year eligibility gap between J.T. Barrett and Brad Kaaya. And then you have Texas A&M landing five-star QB Kyler Murray after five-star true freshman QB Kyle Allen had a strong finish to the season, establishing himself as their long-term starter moving forward.

Top programs stockpile top talent, especially at the most important position in football. But apparently that's too much to ask of this staff for some posters.

Love Scarlett in that #26 Jersey. He is far more an athletic freak than anyone on the other side of the ball and he knows the expectations as well as the positive impact he can have on the entire football team by honoring it with on field balling out.

3 players whooopty fing do. We need 5 or 6 elite level DL every single cycle...just to make up for the dumb alignments we put out there......as a start.
