I'd move Rodriguez to C. With McCoy and Samson, we have 3 returning "starters". Need 2 more, and even if guys like Bruno step up, we still need depth. I expect us to get 1 OT and 1 OG from the portal.

WR: Need more information. Toney clear starter, Moore and Trader may emerge. We have some good ones behind them on roster and coming in. If we do pick a WR up in the portal, I would want a difference maker.

1 QB: #1 need
2 DTs: #2 need. Gotta go get 2 even if Moten comes back, which I highly doubt.
1 DE: need a true DE, not a rush end. We're good there.
1 S: Too thin behind Poyser and Fitz. Need 1 more at least.
1 LB: Too thin behind Popo and Chase. Need 1 more even knowing Wiley and the Bobbys should contribute alot
1 TE: Gilbert, Schott are unproven, Carver has never been healthy, Lofton plays HB/FB half the time.

10 plus a couple depth pieces.

That may sound like a lot. But not all the above will start, and given we rotate in more like 25-27 starters, not just 22, I would be fine with ~8-9 or roughly a third of them coming from the portal.

Could be wrong but I’m pretty sure Rodriguez is out of eligibility after this year. Unfortunately
 
I’m no OL guru, but it looks like Ervin will have a lot of work to do on his form. When he meets dudes his size his form and technique will need to catch up. But I trust the staff to teach that. I’m just saying I don’t think he’s a freshman starter.
However, they are both massive human beings! They stick out that’s for sure. And I think we have some guys ready to step in as well. We’ve recruited the OL really well. Monsters everywhere!

Seaton is likely makin a ton of NIL out there and seemed one of those kids Deion locked in. he wouldnt have went there in the first place.

Make some nice NIL and perhaps improve your draft stock exponentially by coming back

I don’t see this sure fire 1st round type talent others do no matter how big the kid is

Even if Cantwell has to start his career at OG you can kick Samson out to RT. I'll be pleasantly surprised if SJ can put on the mass, but I'm not counting on it until it happens -- I think we are back in the portal for C.

Hopefully guys like Kinsler, Nino, and Buchanan will have the opportunity to pick up some meaningful reps against the Stanfords and VaTech's left on the schedule.

With how Bell is playing right now he’s draft bound imo. Could he come back and elevate further sure but nfl teams are going to go ham over his measurables.

Wishful thinking not realistic thinking. He’s played the best DE talents already on the schedule and held firm. He won’t get tested again until the CFP. So that is a lot of good film he will rack up. So unless he completely embarrasses himself in the CFP, there is no reason for him to come back. Whatever weakness he has isn’t going to get fixed with another year here.

Saying he wouldn’t gain anything from spending another year with perhaps the best OL coaching in college is insane

Respectfully of course! You could be right I’m clearly in the minority but NIL has changed these convos

RR will be our center, imo. In this offense, you need a road grader at guard - RRod ain't that.

Spring will be interesting with SJ, Kinsler, RRod, Cantwell, Ervin, Buchanon, Minaya, Wlkerson and Campbell. Probably will see 1-2 transfers in that group.

If Bell leaves, McCoy is the natural for LT, imo, along with Samson at LG. I think Cantwell can step in at guard to start. Ervin might need more seasoning.

But, plenty of time to talk about that stuff.
