He did that 15 years ago. He's retirement age. He's a ****** Xs and Os coach, and would take several years to win here. In 2015, if you dont win quickly not even jesus can recruit. It happens every time. It's not 1997 anymore recruiting down here. If you can't win fast, you can't recruit. So no, he won't be doing it again.

Hey, jackass. I'm not trying to scare anyone.

Butch will get hired, or he won't. I've got guys trying to argue how one FSU team was better than the UM 2001 team, and they can spit out all the stats right off the tops of their heads.

They like beating UM and especially UF, but they all say the same thing about Butch. He's very dangerous in Miami.

You may be too dumb to realize that, but they're not. These are hard-core FSU fans, and I can get skybox seats at any FSU game because we're friends except when we play each other. I can get skybox seats at UF games - from dozens of friends who are big UF fans. They don't like Butch either - just like you. Which makes me wonder . . .

See here's the thing. Fans way way way too often base their opinion on a coach on how he looks, talks, and acts on the sidelines and in interviews. They also seem to have fan hook line and sinker for the idea that the SEC is some higher level of football.

Coker Winning % at Miami: .800
Miles winning % at LSU: .774

National Championships: Coker 1, Miles 1
Title Game appearances: Coker 2, Miles 2

Bowl Game winning %: Coker .660, Miles .600

When Coker was fired, Miami led the NFL in players. Currently, LSU leads the NFL in players.

They are identical coaches. Miles kept it together longer than Coker did, but Coker had garbage coordinators and assistants. Miles has the best S&C on earth, and multiple elite level coordinators.

Les never had a losing record at lsu, pretty much average double figure wins ,while playing a far more difficult schedule.

I've never understood his accomplishments being poo poo'd. How many coaches have a 80 % win percentage in a decade, while playing in the sec west?

Cokers percentage was that good because of his first three years , after that it crashed .

You obviously didn't follow miami recruiting back then. Coker completely fell asleep recruiting . There's actually stories of him doing his recruiting off rivals.com database. He had no clue what he was doing , and that's why the roster slowly started falling apart. We had to put a freaking punter at wr since he failed so miserably . He started concentrating on national recruiting ,putting his eggs in one basket , then we he missed was stuck like chuck.

That roster had talent but also had holes all over the place from his misses . Recruiting is what caused his demise ( along with many other things) .

He had no clue how to construct a roster or evaluate .

THE ISSUE HASNT BEEN RECRUITING. It wasn't Cokers issue. It wasn't Randy's issue. It wasn't Goldens issue. Do you not comprehend this after 15 years and endless NFL players????

The issue has been COACHING. Period. End of story.

Les Miles is miles ahead of Golden and Shannon, but his success at LSU is no different from what Coker did at Miami. If you are what your record says, then Coker = Miles. They took over in nearly identical situations.

Ask LSU fans how good Les is. Dude has a talent advantage in every single game including against Bama. I don't want a 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense to go with no Moffitt. No thanks.
