He started concentrating on national recruiting ,putting his eggs in one basket , then we he missed was stuck like chuck.

That roster had talent but also had holes all over the place from his misses . Recruiting is what caused his demise ( along with many other things) .

They like beating UM and especially UF, but they all say the same thing about Butch. He's very dangerous in Miami.

You may be too dumb to realize that, but they're not. These are hard-core FSU fans, and I can get skybox seats at any FSU game because we're friends except when we play each other. I don't know man. I think with all this on TV, radio, etc, there's no turning back now. Whoever leaked the story put everyone involved in a bad situation. I think he meant.... The decision to fire Miles will be made by the end of the day, and by all accounts - including Miles himself at his weekly Presser - implied his was not going to be retained after the season.

When the announcement is made is anyone's guess

The Butch cult is now pulling out all the stops, including fear inducing, to get their hero hired. Butch Davis is not even remotely on any top schools wish list.

Who others want or what Butch can do elsewhere is not important. All that matters is what Butch can do at The University of Miami! History strongly indicates he will build a monster team that even a feeble old man can lead to a NC. Every other candidates brings promises to "kill it" with So FL athletes. Butch brings history of killing rest of college football. You say he is our hero, well he is the stuff heroes are made of.

He did that 15 years ago. He's retirement age. He's a ****ty Xs and Os coach, and would take several years to win here. In 2015, if you dont win quickly not even jesus can recruit. It happens every time. It's not 1997 anymore recruiting down here. If you can't win fast, you can't recruit. So no, he won't be doing it again.

If you are right we might just be done here then. Two years ago I could see a different coach but Donna did all she could to leave the program dead. Unless there is another Howard out there you see, then I fear it is Butch or death. If you play bridge or similar card game, there are times when the only way you can win a hand is IF the certain cards are in particular hands. You then have no choice but to play the hand as if they are where you need them to be. That is where I believe we are.

There can be no "new Miami". We can only survive as THE U. We need that DNA and Butch knows it best. He could fail but I believe all the other popular choices are more likely to fail. Some may bring a little excitement, but I think it will be short lived.
