Joe Jackson

Oshane Ximines led his team in TFL and sacks every year since his RS Freshman year. Double digit sack guy. Would have gone higher if he tested better, probably. He graded out simply as a below average NFL athlete. idk if he'll be better than Joe Jackson, but he was a much better collegiate player.

Here is a real question y'all need to search your feelings for...

Do both Shaq and Mike Pinckney get drafted ahead of Quincy Williams in the 2019 NFL Draft if they declared early?
He had double digit sacks one year and that was last year. He had 11.5 and joe had 9.5 playing vs better comp. Joe led his team in sacks every year since his freshmen year also. And i don't know who the **** quincy williams is.

Need to take bags into account more when questioning kids leaving early. You think Wilkens stays at Miami his senior year? lol

I’m not letting him off the hook, but you also hire an agent for not only contract negotiations but for guidance prior to the draft.

I don’t believe JJ is lazy or uncaring...he never exhibited those traits as far as I know.

This is just guessing and speculation on my part, but the stuff that an agent says to you to get you to sign on the dotted line, is different than what they should be saying to you after you sign. And that’s what I mean. Maybe he continued to get pumped up after signing, without being told that you need to do a whole lot more than your regular lifting and running to get ready for the combine.

Again, just speculation. But my theory is that JJ had more in him than what he showed at the combined, but wasn’t peaking at that time JMO.

In any event, he’s a value pick now, someone’s going to get good value for fourth and fifth or sixth round choice.

As far as Willis, in addition to his combine performance, he’s made every possible wrong decision he could have after the end of the regular season. I put that right on Peter.

He was on a short lease to the scouts because of his prior history, but also performed at a second or third round potential during the season.

There’s no question he performed at a second or third round level. After his last regular season game, every decision, everything he did, was in my opinion the exact opposite of what he should’ve been doing. That comes from agent advice.

He is also another value pick
I agree 100%, on both of these kids. Extra help takes extra money, could be they signed thinking or being told 2/3 rd money, and the reality was 5/6 rd money. You’re right, sometimes there’s a disconnect btwn what is said signing a kid, and what is realistic. Either way, players have to prep for combines and interviews. Even if that means working out at the JCC on the cheap. You hire an agent to work y’all thru the process. IMO, these kids were let down.

joe Runs a 4.6 and he would be been off the board yesterday. He got 15 lbs too heavy. Some lightweight dude just went before him probably based on his time alone.

This is exactly what I’m talking about. This is where you have to have a good strategy between your last game in November and the combine. You might not even go to the combine at your normal playing weight, to trade off for some speed.

This is why I started the management thread.
Bad advice by someone. He had to work just as hard to get that heavy. Should’ve been drilling that 40 instead.

The big slow *** DE from iowa was drafted not to along ago.

There will be a bunch of players picked in the later rounds that will have more productive careers than players chosen in the earlier rounds. Happens every year! I will say this though, it appears that a lot of teams are reaching based on potential over production this year. That TE that was drafted from Ole Miss who has never scored at TD but runs a 4.5 forty is a prime example.
