Jett Duffey

FYI...alot Texas Tech folks do not think too highly of Jett for whatever reason.

Why is he leaving Texas Tech?

If the kid can play, give him a look.

I previously state that Duffey was a first class human being, but upon further review he seems like a scumbag. On the field he’s below average. I think Kosi or Tate could both potentially light it up in this offense.
 
Maybe Anthony Brown. Outside of Newman there’s nothing to actually bang the table for. So I think Kosi might win this comp based on skill set and Lashlee scheme. Jarren is gone IMO. Matchoa and TVD idk much about to have an opinion. Martell must be a WR.

He threw for 2800 yds not 1200. Big difference. Him & the Wake Forest QB should definitely be the top 2 transfer QB targets for the new offensive staff.
 
Four Texas Tech football players—quarterback Jett Duffey, cornerback Desmon Smith, safety Christian Taylor and wideout Quan Shorts—were arrested Sunday morning, according to Jarrett Johnson of 247Sports (h/t Scott Bell of the Dallas Morning News)

Duffey and Taylor were charged with criminal mischief.

The criminal mischief accounts are a misdemeanor. According to LubbockOnline.com, Smith and Shorts were "charged with misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct," and bond was set at $750 for each player.

On Tuesday, head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters the players were suspended indefinitely and the program will punish them internally.

Duffey has been trying to win Texas Tech's starting quarterback gig and has been in a competition with McLane Carter this spring.

His time in Lubbock has been rocky, however, according to Bell:

"After redshirting his first season in Lubbock, Duffey was suspended by Texas Tech for the spring and summer of 2017 after a Title IX hearing panel sided with a woman who alleged that Duffey had *** with when she was too incapacitated to consent. A grand jury ultimately decided there was not enough cause to criminally prosecute the case."

Matocha is intriguing to me. He played HS ball in the state and I'm assuming he's seen those concepts before. Just hope he's not a knucklehead like the other's.

He’s not even a centimeter close to a knucklehead. It’s frightening to think that this kid was a 3 ⭐️

All of me would like that. I’m DONE with the drama queen, the **** king and the crying heart.... let’s grow up and play some emotionally mature adults at the most important position on the field.

Yeah let’s bring in more kids with questionable character and decision making skills.

Kid was arrested with 3 teammates last year for destroying property in front of police officers. Not bright. As a redshirt freshman he was accused of sexual assault.

Started 8 games this year for a stud OC and he’s bolting? Well it’s bc he started 4th on depth chart this year and only played bc the first 2 guys got hurt and the third guy played awful. My guess is the coaches are not huge fans and he knows he’s not going to start over Bowman regardless of his stats last year so he gone.
