Jennifer Strawley, Like Blake James, Is Unqualified to Be Second in Charge at Such A Prestigious Football Program

No, I find it very hard to believe he deserves much credit with the IPF because it doesn't add up. He's dont nothing like before or since the IPF fundraiser. However, Richt actually came up with the idea at UGA and went through it in a very similar way. It makes much more sense that the IPF fundraising was more of Richt than anyone else.

As for the Adidas deal, I'm sure Blake negotiated the terms to favor Miami more than the initial deal, but Adidas came to us knowing they were going to offer us more than Nike was. Blake can get some credit here for probably making the terms a bit better, but you're pretty naive if you think Adidas came to us matching Nike's deal and Blake somehow negotiated it into a deal where we are receiving 3x what we were under Nike. That also does not really follow logic.

So, this isn't even about hating the man, this is just using simple logical thought. It makes so much more sense the IPF was Richt's idea given the timing and how it was basically a cloning of what Richt did at UGA. It's also very logical and pretty much known that Adidas came to us offering that deal because they wanted us to be their Oregon.

Give Blake credit for likely fine tuning some details of the deal, but that's about it. You're a very naive individual if you really believe he deserves anymore credit here.
Being in the right place at the right time. That is BJ. BJ in wonderland.

Thank you.

I don't like Blake James, but why do we only cherry pick his faults & never bring all of the good things that have happened since he's been here?

Reading comprehension, bro. I didn't say the ONLY hiring criteria. I said it becomes one of the most important. If you really think diversity isn't a top priority for the BOT president who runs a multi-million dollar company whose business is literally diversity, I think you are being naive.

Diversity has NOTHING to do with hiring head football coaches. If anything, diversity HURTS a candidate. At least historically.

@RVACane we have a troll alert.

"All the good things that have happened since he's been here"? Don't give me "IPF" as an answer, as we were one of the last Power 5 programs to get one. You don't get a cookie for being the last guy picked for the team.

If anyone wants to give BLAKE FVCK!NG JAMES credit for signing adidas, then he should also get the blame for losing Nike.

Miami was the FIRST national university endorsement deal that Nike did. I love what adidas has done, but we should have been Nike forever.

So I’m a troll because I have a mind of my own and don’t just pounce on someone because the mob says to? The dumbest **** is people going at Strawley like she calls the shots. The ONLY reason people mention her is because Pete mentioned her in a tweet. No one even questioned why he singled her out, they just pounced.

Or, you know, she was on the council to hire our head coach.

I never have heard Sumlin was a candidate in 2010. That’s the only thing in this article I haven’t read about 10,000 times before.

Sumlin has been a corch when he hasn’t had Manziel.
Pretty ****** attitude for someone whose contributed exactly 20 posts to this board.

So which band douchebag are u?

* Built an indoor practice facility (do you need another one after that?)
Why does he deserve credit for that? Miami was one of the last programs to get am IPF. So if anything, He failed To get the thing built in a timely fashion.

Do u deserve credit for just showing up to work and turning projects in a year late?

Need to point out the problem goes even higher. The President of the BOT, Heather Bass, is the founder and CEO of The Diversity and Inclusion Institute. I have nothing against diversity and inclusion, but when it's the singular focus of the most powerful person on the BOT it generally means "diversity" becomes one the most important hiring criteria. I don't think it should play any part in building a staff that wins football games. The best guys get the job.

you were ALL about the Diaz hire

you have to understand this was done by design by those sorry people in charge not just at Miami either.back in the day Miami uprooted football landscape those in power took us down to get us out.why do you think the ncaa always makes decisions that always sets us back.think about it that article doesn't go deep enough.

Guys think about it who ultimately makes decisions on which direction a company goes.think about when we were winning bringing in millions/billions into the university and local economy.not one dime in the eighties or nineties went into upgrading the athletic facilities.every ncaa bylaw decision was aimed at the football and baseball program.this goes higher than blame question is are we fans powerful enough to uproot the problem.all the things we've done for 19 years hasn't got the message across.we need find that solution that gets it accross.ask a sen or rep to investigate it see if there's some kind of corruption high up at the university.because the way the athletic program is ra n seems like there is.

I'm still waiting for the good things that have happened under this mental midget and his bimbo sidekick.

I can't disagree with any of your points but it doesn't change the fact that we have a bunch of ding dongs running the school. Also if I'm not mistaken the same hiring consultant firm was used for the last 3 hires. If that is indeed the case, the consultant should get the Omar Suarez treatment from Scarface.
I agree!
