Jennifer Strawley, Like Blake James, Is Unqualified to Be Second in Charge at Such A Prestigious Football Program

Of course they are, because that's how these things work.

You simply try to discredit anything good that the source of the anger has accomplished as a way of making them look incompetent.
I don't have to do anything to make Blake look incompetent.

What is more likely? Blake James randomly decided to start a fundraiser for the IPF after never doing anything like it before or since, or Mark Richt who had already gone through creating a fund raiser at UGA for an IPF ended up being the main one behind doing it at Miami also?

Biggest credit is the Soffers. MR gets credit for having balls as opposed to BJ having none.

I agree, but how did a focus on diversity and inclusion lead to these coaching hires?

Coker was promoted by at the behest of players like Reed and Dorsey. Shannon was a misfire, but I don’t believe he was hired because he is black. He was a former Cane player, respected and then-current DC, and thought to be capable of cleaning up the program. He did some of that, but wasn’t a good coach. Golden and Richt were generic, one thought to be a young, up-and-comer, the other a seasoned successful veteran. Diaz wasn’t hired because he’s Cuban. His rehire was a knee jerk reaction.

The issue is not social engineering, it’s just not having a person with in charge with a background in running a successful athletic department.

Strong points.

I would say that Mrs Soffer’s family had already approached Blake James about doing something for the athletic department in her name, because they did the hospital in her brother’s name.

I would also say that Blake James got us a much better sponsorship deal with Adidas, than the one that we had with Nike. More than tripling the amount that Nike was giving us in apparel & money.

I can't disagree with any of your points but it doesn't change the fact that we have a bunch of ding dongs running the school. Also if I'm not mistaken the same hiring consultant firm was used for the last 3 hires. If that is indeed the case, the consultant should get the Omar Suarez treatment from Scarface.

She approached, Blake said okay, but never had an idea of what to do. Richt comes along and says we need an IPF, it rains daily here.

Adidas approaches Blake and offers him more money than Nike.

Yea, Blake is some real genius AD that deserves credit for these two things.

You’ve more than proved my initial point.....

so basically ANY & EVERY good thing that happened he doesn’t get credit for & didn’t have anything to do with it, and all the bad that has happened is all his fault. Seems reasonable. LMAO

Clemson bought it, like Alabama. Not arguing the quality of the coaching, but buying recruits, the best of the best from all over engenders winning which engenders the ability to buy the best coaching staffs....blah blah fking blah.

One thing we will always have is that while we might have had some **** surrounding the program in the 80s and 90s.....we put in the work and did not have the luxury of an all 4-5 star 3 deep lineup.

Based on where the players were drafted, the 4 most talented teams in CFB history were all Miami teams. https://www.google.com/amp/s/fiveth...ity-of-miami-hurricanes-college-football/amp/

We definitely have had “4-5 star 3 deep” lineups in the past.

No, I find it very hard to believe he deserves much credit with the IPF because it doesn't add up. He's dont nothing like before or since the IPF fundraiser. However, Richt actually came up with the idea at UGA and went through it in a very similar way. It makes much more sense that the IPF fundraising was more of Richt than anyone else.

As for the Adidas deal, I'm sure Blake negotiated the terms to favor Miami more than the initial deal, but Adidas came to us knowing they were going to offer us more than Nike was. Blake can get some credit here for probably making the terms a bit better, but you're pretty naive if you think Adidas came to us matching Nike's deal and Blake somehow negotiated it into a deal where we are receiving 3x what we were under Nike. That also does not really follow logic.

So, this isn't even about hating the man, this is just using simple logical thought. It makes so much more sense the IPF was Richt's idea given the timing and how it was basically a cloning of what Richt did at UGA. It's also very logical and pretty much known that Adidas came to us offering that deal because they wanted us to be their Oregon.

Give Blake credit for likely fine tuning some details of the deal, but that's about it. You're a very naive individual if you really believe he deserves anymore credit here.

What the **** does Strawley even do?

I get the impression she does nothing, and for some reason people on here are convinced she does something.

I don't feel like fixing the spelling and grammatical errors. I'm on my phone. It'll only take common sense to understand what was meant.

During her tenure from 2007-2010 at Columbia, the Lions football team went 7/21 in conference and 11/29 overall (0/7:1/9 ; 2/5:2/8 ; 3/4:4/6; and 2/5;4/6).

Congratulations, we are the Columbia of the South, with not quite the academics, of course.

Hey man, you good with your points. However, he gets no credit for the good fortunes cuz they landed in his lap, not through any aggressive or proactive actions on his part. Now, the same lack of aggressiveness or proactive stance on his part, is what is causing inaction in correcting the coaching woes. It’s simple. Being a spectator to life lands you no credit for the good that comes your way, and lands you bad credit for failure to correct what’s in front of you.

Lol. You literally have no idea how Blake screwed us w/ the Adidas deal. Let's just say if Blake had the balls to fire Golden after the 2014 season, we would've had a much, MUCH better deal w/ Nike. Not an assumption, this is a fact. And since I also have connects at Adidas, I'm letting you know they are instantly regretting this deal they made w/ us. Again, not an assumption. They are focused on other schools right now since we ain't making them the money they gambled on. So I suggest you stop w/ the Blake love fest. He's been nothing more than a puppet at best. And before you try to give him credit for the IPF, that was Richt's condition on taking the job. Blake had chit to do w/ that. This admin is beyond putrid, including short sighted goals w/o looking at the complete picture. (Look no further than the OB)
