Jeff Thomas

I can’t believe he doesn’t have it in him to show up to the combine in shape given all he has riding on it and after he left school early with red flags. Was he always this way?
I didn’t play with him so I can’t say for myself but others have brought up concerns

I can’t argue with these things except he didn’t even get himself in shape for the combine. That’s definitely on him.

(As an aside, I think we need the Krazy News Network (KNN) to get brockoli on his toes.).

Ur right Jeff Thomas worst enemy is himself if he doesn’t overcome his immaturity issues and develop a much better work ethic then he will be out of the league real soon but I think he still has a lot of potential.

Jeff Thomas is an elite WR that unfortunately went to a school with a terrible offensive system with a terrible QB then improved on that by replacing both with the worst offensive coordinator and QB of all time his last year. I think he’ll do much better in the NFL with money being the biggest motivator.
I dont know exactly what he has been thru and try to not judge but his knucklehead tendencies limited his options from OSU and Bama and forced him to have to come and slum in miami qb-less/qb coach-less offense.. That alone is a career killer.. We are JUST now running fast pace spread offense, and guys in practice amazed at pace, **** near two decades later. And JT just left.. Life is sometimes about timing..

Luckily for him his god given talent still gives him a slim chance, but he seems locked in his ways unfortunately. Dude looked like he showed up to combine without touching a weight in months and rolled out of bed and ran a 4.45

Unlike most, I am rooting for the kid

You give the word man and I’ll be making bîtch slappin gifs that show that Krazy News Network (KNN) runs the ATL not Brock News Network (BNN).

Said like that you don’t sound crazy. The problem for Thomas is he isn’t going to get a taste of the league with his issues.

Another Thomas Post - he gone, but the cancer won't truly be gone, until the board gives up kicking this dead horse of a subject.

I don't find it hard to believe, there are a ton of guys who do this every year. Unfortunately, many of them are Canes.

If you were 5’8 170 running a 4.5 with a string of off field issues AND subpar running routes... wouldn’t you want the best to represent you to? Lol. That’s like getting caught with the murder weapon and going to court with a public defender. Not saying Pete is on a PD level... but you know.

I would NEVER take Thomas as a client, even if I was desperate. Kid is delusional about how he's perceived. Next thing that happens is he doesn't get drafted (and probably not signed) and then blames his agent.

5’8 7/8 Or 5’9... he’s still 170 running a 4.51 AS WELL. He needs the best representation he can get!

I find this notion really funny. He could replicate Calvin Johnson's measurables and be a fourth-rounder at best based on college production and off-field issues. Dude is a basket case and locker room cancer. He's going nowhere.

Yup. everybody puts all these expectations on these kids and when they don't meet them they get trashed.

Behind every football player at Miami is someone that is paying out of their own pocket to give him a free education, room and board, for 4-5 years. And that's not even touching on athletic training, additional tutoring, world-class medical care, etc. There's also another guy, just as hungry (or moreso in the case of Thomas), and close to if not equally as talented, that wants to be at Miami, that didn't get that shot.

When you accept a massive gift, there is tremendous responsibility that comes with it. When you don't take that remotely seriously, but keep on receiving the benefits, you are a piece of **** human being.

Absolutely nothing he has done immunizes him from being trashed.

Thomas is with FRM and I appreciate the kind words about me but I’ll be honest, I think he’s a guy who doesn’t want to help himself and no matter who his agent is it likely won’t make too much of a difference until his attitude changes

THANK YOU

Been saying this for months now.

Maybe. We may not have his football skill set, but everybody has some skill set of their own or something they are great at that they are probably not maximizing or creating an opportunity with. I guess that just comes with being in the public eye like you said.

While correct, the problem with this is in the numbers. There is a specific and limited demand for NFL talent. Whatever equates to the total players on rosters in the NFL. For the most part, you're in or you're out. That can't be said for the extreme vast majority of professions/talents. There's not a maximum quota for artists, engineers, musicians, actors, bankers, etc etc.

Basically, one is an observable behavior and the other is not.

Needs to get IN the league first, and he's not gonna.

Some good points here. I can see it both ways. I just try to refrain from trashing players on the internet.

I'm equally as adamant on the other end, but I think guys like this deserve it. This wasn't "he didn't play well." Thomas did not care and was a me-first guy.

Yes, I definitely think he could run a faster 40 time, he could have ran in the high 4.3's. That tells me he didn't put in the work.
